Hypesters: 1 TD and a FG

Oh, so now the stats don't matter. Heh, denial's a *****.

As to the Saints, I still felt they should have used Pierre Thomas on that last run on the goal line, but it wasn't a bad outing for Nawlins, unless you're on the D, then you look like crap.

That's a bold statement. I think the Lions will be good... maybe even very good... but the Falcons were stellar in the regular season last year. What were they, 14-2? Even with Stafford, I don't see the Lions being quite that good. Although it's possible that the Falcons might not pull that off that kind of season again.

Nothing wrong with being bold ;)

I think the Lions are the second or third best team in the NFC.

Unfortunately I think the Packers are the best.

Second or third best in NFC? You would rate Lions higher than Eagles, Falcons, or Saints?

Ahead of the Eagles and Falcons, yes.

Possibly the Saints.

It's all about pressuring the QB. Don't know if the Eagles can do it, don't know if the Falcons can do it, don't know if the Saints can do it without blitzing.

If you can get to the QB with four of your front seven, the game changes totally for a defense. Not only do the Lions have the best defensive lineman in the game, not only do they have perhaps the best starting DL in the game, but they, by far, have the deepest DL in the NFL (especially if Fairly ends up contributing late in the year, hoping for around week 10). They go five deep at DT, four deep at DE.

The Saints starting DE, Turk McBride, was the fourth best DE in Detroit last year.

Stats, huh?

How about three turnovers to blow a two-score lead in the third quarter and then allowing a 58-yard play on 3rd and 19? Yeah, your boys are so elite.

Isn't nice how Football brings people together

Yes, it's great that as the weather grows colder, we can all put aside our various political, sociological and economic ideologies to come together and hate one another for purely silly and insignificant reasons once again.

Wow, a lot of optimism that Stafford is actually going to see the field for the majority of the season.

I think the Lions will be improved, but 2nd/3rd best team in the conference? I'll wait and see.

God bless football.

The potential is there, only thing that really worries me is the Lions running game?

It's magical

Can't believe it's all about to go down this weekend, it came so fast.

Putting my money where my mouth is. Flyin to the Detroit Tampa game.

I've got the Lions making the playoffs if Stafford, Johnson, and Suh can stay healthy, but there's no way they are the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFC.

Insignificant? it is a fact of science that Cowboys fans are the scum of the earth:o
