Tony Romo is Peyton Manning compared to Tim Tebow.
I love it. Especially after the week-long Tebow Slobberfest on ESPN.
I wonder how soon the phrase "Bring Back the Sex Cannon" will start appearing on hand-made signs in the bleachers of FedEx Field.
BeckGruber is every bit as horrible as many of us expected him to be. His point count today matches the number of games he's won: ZERO.
I feel bad for Redskins fans but I selfishly want the team to keep sucking because that team is hands-down the most entertaining soap opera in professional sports.
Shanahan is showing exactly why Cowher will not return. Shanahan is slowly but surely tainting his legacy. He has gone from someone who would have been seen as one of the definitive coaches of the 90s to someone who is seen as the guy who rode Elway's coattails and cut it without a franchise QB. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
But right now, Cowher is seen as one of (if not THE) best coach of his generation. He has a ring. He will eventually make HOF. He has nothing to gain by coming back. Neither did Shanahan. Cowher is seeing Shanahan had a lot to lose though, by coming back. And he won't make the same mistake.
I don't see Cower making the Hall of Fame. You usually have to be pretty innovative or win around three titles to get in. Well, at least now and days. There are a few exceptions to this with guys like Marv Levy getting in. But really, I don't see guys like Cower or Holmgren getting in. Each who have one ring with two Super Bowl appearances. Mike Shanahan may not even get in and he has two rings and had a good amount of success after John Elway left.Shanahan is showing exactly why Cowher will not return. The season is kind of bitter-sweet for me. Sure we're winning and we're off to a great start, but the one thing I wish we were better at was the passing game and our quarterback situation. Nothing can be changed now and Harbaugh has done a great job with Alex Smith especially with what happened with the lockout. However, we need to get better as time goes on. The 49ers aren't attempting that many passes and that's fine, but in crunch time I really don't have faith in Alex Smith to get a winning score or rather, carry a team. Frank Gore isn't going to be able to run like this forever. And I can't remember a team that ranked near last in passing yards that won the Super Bowl, let alone made it. Smith is a good game-manger at this point, but nothing more. But passing for under 200 yards a game isn't going to cut it in the future when times get tough and the 49ers play tougher teams.49ers keep winning!! Thank heavens for Harbaugh!!![]()

And Shanahan probably came back because he loves coaching and the challenge of winning. I don't think he cares about his legacy or Hall of Fame eligibility at this point. He just likes coaching.

I feel like this team is going to end up like the 2001 Bears, 2003 Ravens, 2003 Cowboys, 2005 Bears, or 2008 Titans. All good defensive teams that had a good run game and made the playoffs, but were one and done because their passing game was not very good at all. Most teams that win the Super Bowl have a good quarterback. That is just how it is unfortunately. I'm already hoping the 49ers are looking at some quarterbacks in this upcoming draft.

I love it!
