I've been to Yankee Stadium, Meadowlands, MSG tons.

Well, from all the other fans of sports teams that I know, Steelers fans seem to be as arrogant as Michigan fans. They act like they're God's gift to the NFL. That's why I despise them.

There are plenty that are arrogant, but I still say it's no more than any other team. Philly fans have been known to pummel fans of other teams with snowballs in their stadium. Raiders and 49ers fans... well, we saw what happened last summer when they get together. I've met really arrogant Cowboys fans, Pats fans, etc. And I've met plenty of Ravens fans who act like their team has won every game they've ever played and any time they've lost, it's due to an evil league conspiracy that is hell-bent on keeping Baltimore from reaching the Super Bowl.

But I'm not trying to imply that ALL fans of these teams act this way. I just get tired of Steelers fans getting a bad rap. People who have never even been to Pittsburgh like to call it a dirty, crappy city. And of course, all Steelers fans are fat ugly pieces of sh** who drink a keg of beer everyday because you saw a picture of a fat girl in a Steelers shirt on da Internets.

We do have our drunken idiots and arrogant jerks too, but so does every other team in the league.

Yeah, for the most part every team has their jerky, arrogant fans. I don't think any team is exceptionally worse than another.

I think it also has to do with your favorite team and who encounter the most. From my perspective as a Bears fan, I can't stand the Packers and their fans. Second worst for me are Vikings fans.

The worst fans I've been around are Cowboy fans.

Exactly... it's natural to hate the fans of your team's rivals, and since you encounter them more than fans of other teams, the worst of the lot tend to stick out to you.

I didn't really care that much one way or the other about Ravens fans... then I took a job in Baltimore during the 2006 NFL season. I think that scarred me for life, LOL.

Typical Ravens fanboy BS. WOW! The Steelers have fans that aren't from Pittsburgh! I bet they're the ONLY team in the NFL that has bandwagon fans! For the life of me, I've NEVER met a Cowboys fan who has never been to Texas or a Pats fan that isn't from Boston.

The fact that this idiot went to so much trouble to do this says more about his insecurity about his own team than it does about Steelers fans.

Wow someone cant take a joke. I bet your the life of the party when it comes to laughing a bit.

I'd have to agree with this. I can literally count the number of respectable Steeler fans I've met in my life in single digits. Now of course, that only applies to people I've actually physically encountered, but when you're in law enforcement, you met an astounding amount of people & I've lived in 3 different cities, so that statistic is pretty amazing to me personally.

I'd be amiss if I left the Steelers in that category alone though; Cowboy, Patriot, Celtics, Jets, Duke, Pistons, & Eagles fans, that I've met, tend to slide into that same category. Of course I'm not saying any of them are bad people, they just transform when speaking about sports & it comes off in a high handed, dismissive way.

Oddly enough, there seems to be a higher number of respectable fans of these franchises in an online setting than IRL. Hell, Rowsdower & I have gone to Hell & back with the Steeler / Raven thing but I've come to respect the guy......for the most part.:hrt:

Actually; Rows, Matt, Vindrow, Ant Man, & Spidey are all pretty cool about everything. Of course I expect that to change entirely this Sunday.

The Genesis / That Guy Rowsdower Rivalry is epic, it even transcended accounts.:awesome:

LOL, yeah, it was pretty brutal leading up to the playoffs last year. I think Pittsburgh will win this week, though it might be an ugly win. I'll take the W any way I can get it though.

So, what do you guys think... will we see another 0-16 team this year? I know that almost never happens, but I'm not sure that Miami or Indy are capable of winning against ANYONE right now. They've both been competitive at times, but not enough to close the door on anyone.

I also don't think Washington is going to win another game this season.

It's not just that both Colts and Fins aren't capable of beating any team this season; I think they both really want to win the Andrew Luck sweepstake, and there's no incentive for them to win even one game for the rest of the season, anyway. Therefore, I think we'll have for the first time, two winless teams in a NFL season, and NFL may reconsider the lottery pick they think these two teams intentionally tanking games for Luck.

Btw, Phil Simms has said in an interview that Payton Manning doesn't want Colts to draft Luck if they have the opportunity to do so, and I think this is probably true. Any team that drafts Luck will make him the starter right away, like Newton did, and Payton knew that. I don't think Colts' owner will do what Payton wants in this case, however.

as opposed to ********* fans with a raging inferiority complex?

*cough*Sparty*cough*

I don't meet a lot of fans that know a lot about their team. Like really know a lot. The most knowledgeable fans I know are the ones I find on message boards. I rarely talk about football in public because I maybe only know a couple of people that are really invested in the NFL and knows what's going on week to week. Thank goodness for the internet.

I'd be hard pressed to be able to recall the years of the NY Giants "NFL" Championships, I remember each Superbowl. I can name years, MVPS, former players, etc. But I'm sure I'm easily stumpable.

That goes double for me... And the people I do know are younger and aren't even familiar with Daunte Culpepper so I have to keep conversations current.

Yeah, when game day gets here you're nothing more than another crappy Ratbird fan:cwink::awesome:

But, lets be realistic here every team has a-hole fans me being a Steeler fan have met other Steeler fans that I want nothing to do with, but I have also met Ravens, Cowboy, Pats, Bengals, etc... fans that I wouldn't get within a mile of. I always mess around with fans of other teams but it just in good natured fun, and I get it back but when a fan goes over the line I just walk away. to me its just not worth the time and energy to argue with someone that will just be like this :wall:

Always thought that Matt Forte was a better running back than Chris Johnson.

I'm beginning to feel vindicated in thinking so this season.

Maybe this was already talked about. I just found it hilarious:

Oh and just for kicks I never got tired of this Eagles fan wishing Ronnie Brown got cut after that boneheaded play he made against us in week 4.

Well for the first point, there's no doubt this is going to be a highly motivated Steeler team playing some pretty good football at the moment. However, we've got alot of pride on the line, years of being downtrodden & underestimated, coupled with a confidence drawn from the Week 1 win. It had better be a damn sweep, splitting the regular season is a fail in my book.

It boils down to us NEEDING this game & you guys WANTING revenge.

As to winless teams, I don't think the Colts will go without ONE W this year, they've been damn close a few times & there's just too much veteran leadership there in that organization. Miami on the other hand, with Sparano constantly under pressure & from every appearance cracking....
