That's a tired joke and it was Vince Young who made that comment in the first place, not Vick, Reid or someone who really speaks for the team.
Did I touch a nerve ?

Vince Young is on the team and I didn't see anyone running to distance themselves from the Dream Team name until they started losing games.

But Vince Young is just a not too bright backup qb, and Andy Reid downplayed the comment a couple days after it was said.

No, not at all, ha. I just thought it was a dumb comment.

Here's the quote, he's calling it nonsense.

"Obviously, dreams aren't reality. The reality will come when I can get my hands on them and get them into practice and we start grinding here like the other guys are grinding — that's reality. If you're dreaming in this league you end up in about the third row with a concussion."

I envy the Green Bay Packers with every bone in my body.

Poor Texans fans. Just when their team looked like it was about to walk right into the playoffs, their QB gets hurt and they have to start Matt Leinart. Their running game is still really good, as is their defense, but I could see Leinart losing enough games for them so that Tennessee passes them up and wins the division.

**update** Shaub is definitely out for the season.

Watching this game, I can't tell if the Packers are that good, or the Vikings are that bad, or if its some combination...

I think it's a bit of both. I wonder if AP will push for a trade in the offseason. By the time Minneapolis gets a real QB (or Ponder improves enough to really be competitive) he'll probably be in decline since the shelf life for RBs is so short. Hell, he's kind of in decline now.

Looks like Texans fans will have to wait until next season to finally have it be "the year."

Yeah, Leinart isn't going to get them anywhere. I see him getting sacked a lot under center before he can even drop back to pass. As we all know, he has a lot of trouble pulling out.

Well, as good as Ponder is, he is still a rookie QB, and his team was going against Rodgers who is the best QB in the NFL right now. And Vikings just aren't an elite team at the moment, so the chance of them dealing Packers a defeat is rather remote.

Houston's running game and D will get them the 3 wins they need to get into the playoffs, they have a breezy schedule

24 hours ago I was talking about how they were legitimate contenders to make a run, I'm not sure that's the case anymore with Leinart under center. Kubiak is gonna have his hands full.
Schaub always seems to get hurt when the Texans are going to turn the corner. I thought his injury woes were over.

ok so is donovan Mcnabb that terrible? Ponder was horrible

I don't know about that... I thought Ponder was pretty good for a rookie, in both games I've seen. There's veterans who are worse...

You have to remember he's working with crap and they just played the best team in the NFL...

Bets on who takes the Packers down to size & kicks their ass ?

I don't see the Packers getting their ass kicked by any team left on their regular schedule. I'm guessing the team with the best shot just to beat them would be the Giants, and it would have to be in shootout. New York still leads the NFL in sacks if I'm not mistaken, but their pass defense is shaky. Then again, so is Green Bay's.

I'm rooting for the Raiders when those two play :o

Yeah, but we actually stretch the field. The Giants play pass fairly short.

I like Nicks but he doesn't really scare me. Our pass defence is still smart, we just lack in speed, the shakiness is mainly in terms of getting beat deep.

I think the Packers have a real shot of running the table .... Is there any teram even close to them this year ? The Pats defense stink . The ravens are up qnd down losing to bad teams . The Steelers are really benefitting from a sofy schedule . I am a giant fan and don't think our secondary can keep up with Rodgwers ..

The dirop down between the Packers and everyone else is scary right now ....

The Saints and maybe the Giants with their defense are the only ones that can go pound for pound with them in the playoffs

Brees better pick up his game for the Saints ... As much as a Giant fan I am , our seconday ain't good enough to stop Rodgers . Eli would need to play lighta out ...and we would need ball control there

I think Giants may have a shot. Yes, they have a mediocre secondary & safety, but their front 7 is among the best in the NFL. They pressured Brady alot in their meeting a couple of weeks ago, and they can do the same against Rodgers as well. They won't be able to contain him completely, but if they can limit him to 20 pts or less I think Eli has an opportunity to outscore him.

Rodgers is better at slipping and operating outside of the pocket as it crumbles than Brady is. He's a different proposition altogether...

Might have a sizable pair on me for saying so, but dare I say it, he's a better one...
