I think Billick is willing to coach again if anybody wants him. They just asked him about it on NFLN and he sounded open-minded to it. I think it would be a mistake though. Just my opinion, but I think he was mediocre at best as a HC; he lucked out that year the Ravens won the Super Bowl.

But I think the real problem is that whenever a coach gets sh**canned in the NFL, all of these old guys like Billick and Gruden are always mentioned as possibilities to coach somewhere and its as if people forget that at least some of these guys are out of work for a reason. There's a reason why Jim Moron Jr. is coaching in college now. There's a reason why Dennis "THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! HULK SMASH!" Green took his place on The Coaches Show. There's a reason why Jim Zorn will likely be opening his own used car business by the end of this year (which will fail). Some of these guys SHOULDN'T come back. New and young talent can be the best way to go.

Then again, I heard a rumor that Josh McDaniels might be named the next head coach of Kansas City. So maybe all theories are bullsh**.

Not thrilled with the Haley firing. The team's problems had to do with injuries more than anything. After that would be the uncreative playcalling of Bill Muir, who I hope doesn't last much longer, either. I was a little nervous that they'd name him interim, so I'm relieved they went with Crennel.

Nah, I disagree. There are plenty of good coaches that got fired once or twice and deserve a second chance.

Why did they bother starting Bradford? NO ONE IN STL WANTS HIM TOO! Protect your investment! He only ever practiced once and it was limited to Saturday. I get that he is tough but I mean come on guys he is our future! Keep Danny Mac but get rid of Spags the guy is a ******. Give me Fisher and Blackmon next year.

Just his durability is incredible. It's a shame he hasn't been apart of any elite Rams teams. If he had been, the entire country would know he's one of the best there is.

Come on, man...take off the Steeler blinders. Billick is an outstanding coach and is a great offensive mind. I agree that some of the old guard shouldn't come back. But guys like Billick, Fisher, Gruden and Cowher could do well on a different sideline.

Yeah, I agree. Billick is a solid coach. (Also coming from another Steelers fan) Billick is another guy who built a really good team and another coach took over and has run with that formula.

It would be interesting to see Billick and Cowher return in the same season coaching different teams. However, I doubt that would happen. Cowher looks WAY too happy doing his analyst job on CBS.

I really think that if Kay Cowher didn't die, Cowher would possibly be coaching right now and if not now, definitely coaching in 2012. I think her death put a lot of things into perspective for Cowher. I think he likes his job. He works two days per week for about 20 or 21 weeks per year. He has plenty of time for his daughters and plenty of time to just enjoy life. I think Kay's death really put things into perspective for him and he now has no desire to return to the sideline and start working 60 hour weeks again.

Yeah, I agree. That was really tragic. He definitely looks like he enjoys doing that job right now. I don't blame the guy one bit. He proved he's probably one of the best NFL coaches and went to the big dance and won.

Honestly, none of the jobs that are looking to be open (with the exception of the Giants should Coughlin get sacked and San Diego) seem that appealing. For every upside of them, there seems to be about five downsides.

I mean...St. Louis seems to have a solid offense. They have Steve Jackson and Brandon Lloyd. I haven't really watched too much of the Rams to see exactly what the downside is for them but obviously they suck the big one if they are 3-11.

Coughlin isn't the problem and shouldn't be fired, IMO. Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell needs to go though. I REALLY HOPE THEY BRING BACK SPAGS to fill the position. I mean he's not going to get another head coaching job after St. Louis. Then we would have the same coaching staff as the super bowl winning year.

I don't think Coughlin is going anywhere either. The Giants can still turn things around after that big win over Dallas last night.

The Rams lack confidence from their coach and QB. Which leads me to believe that the combination of Bradford and Spagnuolo isn't going to work in the future. If the Rams bring in a coach that has that high morale, then it could turn a team around drastically. Look at what the 49ers are doing this year.
