Peyton won't impress Munchak unless he promises to wear a suit when he shows up for games. Peter King told me so.

If Peyton meets with the Titans and signs with them, what does that do to Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker?

The list of QB's affected by the Peyton Manning release just grew.

Peyton will not be leaving Florida for any more meetings. Coaches will have to fly to Florida to meet with him

Or in the case of Joe "I am not related to Regis" Philbin, he'll only have to drive a few miles.

Oh geez u know why thats cuz he's gonna sign with the Dolphins OMG I just know it cuz we wrotes a titanic song about him and put up billboards and sold our souls and baked him a 50-foot cake filled with cottage cheez whiz. He's gonna be just like DAN MARINO and win us another Super Bowl with an undefeated team just don't let Ray Finkle screw it up this time.

If Peyton does sign with Miami, Philbin is a miracle worker. He must've really wooed him because basically any of the other choices are a better fit. I wonder what Philbin said?

Also, I would kinda lose respect for Philbin. Signing Manning means an offensive coach is willing to give up complete control of his offense before he even starts the job. If I were Philbin, as a new coach, I'd rather win or lose on my terms.

I seriously doubt that....he wants to see team facilities, etc.

I wonder what Elway and Fox will do if Peyton signs with somewhere other than Denver. They clearly don't want Tebow to start (and who could blame them?). Do you guys think they would make a play for a free agent like Flynn or go after someone in the draft? Or will they just ride the Tebow Train straight into hell?

In Mannings case he has already seen & is really familiar with the Dolphins facilities & stadium. He has no need to be impressed by them. He knows his way around those

I would like to see Locker sit behind Manning for a few years if he signs with them.

Is Locker really that bad? I mean, a few YEARS? If he has to sit for a few more years, then he's never going to be starter material.

Per Adam Schefter's twitter
@AdamSchefter
NFL is taking away millions of dolllar of salary-cap space from Cowboys and Redskins for how they front-loaded deals during uncapped year.
@AdamSchefter
Cowboys lose $10 million in cap space, Redskins lose $36 million in space. Can split it over 2012 and 2013 any way they want. More at ESPN.
@AdamSchefter
All that money goes to 28 other teams -- $1.6 million each -- except for Saints and Raiders, who don't get any but don't lose any.

Wow. Redskins lose 36 million in the cap, and they traded away all there picks.

Aaron Rodgers sat for 3 season and he turned out fine. Locker isn't the sharpest QB out there. Sitting behind a 4 time MVP isn't going to hurt him.

Miami signs Manning.

Carolina realizes Clausen and Anderson are bad Back-ups. Offer a 3rd round pick for Moore.

Miami trades Matt Moore to Carolina for 2012 3rd round pick.

Carolina gives Moore 4 year, 15 million contract extension.

Fudge yeah.

The way reporters are acting over Manning is so stupid. I've heard that Peyton has an 80% chance of signing with like 3 different teams.

I will guarandamntee you, he's not signing with the Dolphins. 5 minutes with Mr. Ross will make sure of that.

No, but you said a few, which usually means three... being as to how he has already sat for almost an entire season, it really doesn't seem worth it to have drafted a guy in first round just to sit for four years. And if Manning decided to pull a Favre and go for longer, Locker could be sitting another year or two.

He doesn't want to deal with Brady or Harvard grad Fitzpatrick.

Yes... Manning trembles at the thought of playing twice a season against franchise back-up quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and the team that hasn't had a winning season since 2004.

Jake Locker seemed pretty impressive from what I saw of him last year. People forget that he was "The Can't Miss Prospect of a Generation" like two years ago :P

Fitzpatrick is the second most feared QB in the league. Matt Moore, is of course the first.

If the Titans were really on board with Locker, they wouldn't have stated there would be a QB competiton between him and Hasselbeck. Now they're going after Manning which means they don't have much confidence with their slate of QB's. I also don't think Manning will be pulling a Favre simply because of his neck injury.

If Peyton is smart, he'd want to go to a team that has a realistic chance of winning their division. I think he is bright enough to figure out that Miami won't be able to win the AFC East even with him behind center.
