The Packers might franchise Flynn.

They should. There is no risk. Someone will throw at least a 2nd round pick for him. Hell, even if it is a 3rd rounder - it is better than nothing, with no financial burden.

Sanchez has 2 years left on his contract. But I do believe he is complacent and not worried about losing his job. I've never been sold on Sanchez, and he really needs some sort of solid year.

Unless no team has interest in paying top 5 money to a QB who has started in two games and Green Bay gets stuck shouldering that burden.

Exactly ... That's a lot of coin for a relatively unknown. I wouldn't be surprised if someone was interested, though.

Given his arm strength, a traditional west coast system is the ideal place for Colt. I am not a Colt hater, I think he could be a fine QB, but the difference between fine and special, which I think RGIII is, is worth more than what Cleveland can offer.

I don't Cleveland will pull the trigger though. I could see Holmgren and Shurmur having more confidence than most teams in developing a QB and thus be unwilling to really duke it out with a team like Washington (or even Philadelphia) that may go all in.

Nah, not quick or evasive enough. He'd get hit way too many times to work in a pure west coast offense.

What do you think teams would give up for the chance to draft RG3?

The Redskins offer would likely include:

1st round picks from the 2012, 2013, and 2014 drafts (if they have any left... I think they might have dealt some of these in the McNabb trade)

2nd and 3rd round picks from the next 18 drafts

Rex Grossman, Roy Helu and the carcasses of John Beck and Chris Cooley

London Fletcher, D'Angelo Hall and one of LaRon Landry's gargantuan arms

Kyle Shanahan's soul
:funny: I love this

Haha, thanks. :woot:

Part of me wants the Redskins to make one of these ludicrous deals and have it actually work out in their favor, just once.

But that would mean we would all have to agree that Dan Snyder was right about something. And if that happened, I think that the entire universe would collapse and all life would be negated.

Unlike the last half a dozen times, they said this is the year. This is the year for the Redskins.

We want Griffin bad. Really bad. We want him more than Peyton Manning.

Any year for Dan Snyder to make an outrageous offer, this has to be the one.

I was browsing around the interwebs and now Jets fans instead of hanging their hat on, 2 AFC Championship games in 2 years, it's well compare Sanchez's 3 years with Eli's 3 years and see how similar they are.

Whatever you need to get out of bed in the morning. :o

No team would trade Flynn without working out a contract that would pay less than top 5 money.

And he doesn't have a big enough arm to rely on an offense that depends upon reading vertical patterns.

But why would Flynn accept that contract? If GB is stupid enough to tag him, he is either going to sit back and collect top five money from the bench, or be traded to a team who is forced to accept it and pay him top five money. It is a win/win for Flynn.

And he doesn't have a big enough arm to rely on an offense that depends upon reading vertical patterns.

I think he would work fine enough with an offense like Baltimore's. Focus on the run, short to medium passing routes. You don't need to be an elite passer to work in the AFC North.

Flynn wants to play and players like long-term contracts over franchise tags.

There are two day one starters in this draft. There are more than two teams that have questions at QB. Flynn will be desired, period.

The threat of the long ball is what opens up short to medium passing routes. Flacco is a threat vertically, Colt isn't.

(Cries single tear for Ward).

Though it was time, we'll miss you, Hines. You were one of the greatest, and despite what advocates for some Baltimore-based smear campaigns might say about you, you were never a dirty player. Football is a hard game, and you played hard. Thanks for bringing two more rings to the Steel City (and a Dancing with the Stars Trophy).

The Georgia Bulldog inside of me is going to miss seeing Hines Ward play. Hope he can get a nice analyst job.

Man, I am going to miss seeing Ward jack up defensive players.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I am devastated by the news. I feel like they did Hines Ward a little dirty. Hell, we went to the Super Bowl last year. Hines Ward had at least one more season and we are still capable of going to the Super Bowl again this year. If our team wasn't so injured, it could have been Steelers/Giants this year. This dude is one of my idols (we share the same ethnic background and he is super popular over in Korea). He was my favorite Steelers player. It's not his fault that Bruce Arians didn't use him for anything. I am devastated by the news.

Hines is too old. He should have retired.
