I would also imagine that he would at least visit Miami. Based on the fact that they are the closest to him when he gets back home

It sounds like he's pretty much ignoring Miami. He should have met Miami today, but now it sounds like Miami is begging for a Manning meeting the way Kansas City, Tennessee, and Seattle are.

Peyton doesn't want to be in the same division as Tom Brady.

That too.

The Twitter feed is saying that sources are saying that the Broncos are 95% certain that Manning will end up with them.

Another source is saying that Manning's former teammates like Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark could end up getting scooped by whatever team gets Manning.

Kansas City and Tennessee do not have awful QB's, but I could see why they would be interested in Peyton Manning.

Wherever Peyton Manning ends up, it will cause major dominoes to fall in the QB Department: Matt Flynn, Drew Brees, Tim Tebow, Blaine Gabbert and Kevin Kolb.

Interesting I wonder what the hold up on his decision is then ? Now Peyton might not make his choice by Wednesday. He might as well pick Denver & get it over with. The NFL is in a stale mate until he makes his decision

This guy says that Miami still has a chance to meet with Peyton

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolp...olphins-are-still-in-manning-sweepstakes.html

But so far he is the only guy saying it

Also the Twitter guys are saying that Peyton has no reason to visit & to tour the Dolphins facilities. Because he is already familiar with them. In this case he would just have to meet with Ross & Ireland

We all knew Miami wasn't going to get Peyton.

"But he has a house in South Florida!"

I have a house in South Florida.

Those must be the same people that believe Bill Cowher will eventually coach the Panthers, because he lives in Raleigh.

Exactly. If Peyton wants to get to the Superbowl, having to play twice a year against Patriots won't be a smart decision at all, and they'll have to face the reality of making it into the playoff as a wildcard and play on the road. Both Denver and Arizona are in the western division, so conceivably it will be alot easier to win the division than in the AFC East. Sorry Miami, but that's how it is.

As for deciding between Broncos and Cardinals, I can see the pros and cons for both teams. Broncos have an easy division, and alot of cap room, but they also play in an open stadium and on high altitude, which Peyton won't be accustomed to early on. Cardinals have a tougher division due to Niners' resurgence, but they also have an elite WR and a team that had made it to SB only a few years ago, plus they have a warmer climate than Denver does. Overall, I think Denver is probably a slightly better fit for Peyton, but that is if he can play in their weather effectively.

After all is said and done, Cleveland and Seattle will still have the two worst QB corps in the entire NFL. Indy going from Peyton to Andrew Luck is a downgrade only because Luck is a rookie and he has major shoes to fill, but for Indy's sake they hope Luck is Aaron Rodgers V2. Seattle will still have their two CFL level QB's and Cleveland will still have Colt McCoy, unless they decide to bring Tebowmania into their cities.

Any team getting Peyton will only have a 2-3 year window to win it all, and that team will still need to figure out who their QB of the future is. Both Denver and Arizona can try to trade away their former starter (Tebow and Kolb) for some picks, but Miami won't be able to. Then again, maybe some team will be suckered into trading for Matt Moore. :hehe:

In all seriousness, Matt Moore might be worth a 3rd of 4th round pick if it means having a reliable backup quarterback. Moore will never be worthy of being a starting NFL QB (no matter what ETM chooses to believe), but he could be a high caliber backup like Charlie Batch. A reliable backup QB is one of the most underrated assets in the National Football League and one of the reasons the Texans should not trade Yates. Of course, that makes him worthless to Miami, as they have many more holes that they need to fill than just backup QB. Trading him to a team like N.O., Chicago, Green Bay or NE, teams ready to compete that could use a decent fall back plan, may not be a bad idea.

As for Arizona having to think of the future, I think that John Skelton, while maybe not starter material just yet (he definitely wasn't NFL ready when he entered the league) could really benefit from a few years under Peyton's tutelage and become a decent starter. Of course, Peyton doesn't seem to keen on being anyone's mentor. In fact, it seems to me that Irsay made it very clear that if Manning restructured, he would still be the starter in Indy, but would be expected to work with Luck and mentor him and Peyton apparently had no interest in that. This whole debacle has painted Manning in a very selfish light, IMO.

I dont think Tom Brady has anything to do with it. Manning is a competitor and isnt going to shy away from Brady if he thinks there's a good fit. He likely has no interest in Miami because their coach runs a WCO and they have questionable at best talent on the offensive side of the ball. Manning likely hates every fiber of Brandon Marshall's being.

Not sure I get Denver being a better fit? They dont really have a downfield vertical offense and they dont have anyone in the same zip code as Larry Fitzgerald. Whisenhunt's style fits Manning to a tee, whereas Fox's plodding, defense first teams wont really utilize his skill set. I think Elway's trying to force on there.

So now there are reporters & what not outside of the Dolphins facilities in Davie, Florida waiting to see if anything pops up about Manning to Miami

People in Miami are really embarrassing themselves over this. Between the billboards and the Titanic song remix, I'm wondering what Miami fans will say or do next to try and lure Peyton there.

Mortensen says Peyton will meet with both Philbin and TEN coach Munchak in next 3 days. Not at facilities
