Honestly, we should probably just get rid of this award completely because there's nothing good natured or tongue in cheek about it. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise. You think FNJ got so many nominations because we're like "Yeah what a dick that guy hahahahaha!" Nope.

I do think the title of 'Villain' changes the nature of the thread.

The title of 'Dick of the year' is something a poster earns when they have had so many run ins with other posters that they've managed to be remembered as being a dick at one time or another. It's the consequence of being so confrontational. And you kind of just have to take it in your stride.

Villain of the year is different. Personally I think it glorifies the winner, and is a name you'd be much more proud to wear.

Which IMO, defies the point.

That's probably because his best stuff gets people going which leads to infractions and ultimately deleting the posts.
