Wow!!! Ok just to put it out there, I'm a 49ers Fan.
The Niners will get beaten out by the Rams??? Really???
The only way the Niners will lose to the Rams is if:
Kaepernick can't run (doubt it), Crabtree gets shut down (doubt it), Boldin gets sick, Aldon Smith can't locate the QB, Justin Smith get's lost on the way to the game, Coach Harbaugh forgets the game plan, etc... :cwink:
That's a shocker right there!

And you do know that the Ravens dumped their roster except for their QB right?

I do agree that the Broncos will get far, if not, it's the Patriots.

Well the Rams did go 1-0-1 against the 49ers last year.

like its been mentioned before, teams will slowly start picking up on how to stop the gimmicky offense that the niners run, good defenses will be able to stop them and the Rams do have a good defense, Im not saying that they will fall apart (Jim Harbaugh is too good of a coach to let that happen)

As for the Ravens ,its hard to believe but they have gotten a whole lot better on defense. IF they hadnt traded Anquan they would never have had the cap room to be able to sign Elvis,Huff and Canty, the biggest question for the Ravens is who is going to step up and take the no2 wr spot ( my money is on Mallette or Thompson)

Ok I agree that, that was a good pick up of Canty and Elvis. But I don't think they are the same team or will get far or even make the playoffs. But there are so many holes in the AFC so they may have a chance.

And the Niners don't have a gimmicky offense, Kaepernick can throw the pigskin with a fast ball. Tebow is a gimmicky offense. I agree that the Rams have a great defense but now that the Niners has had a complete off season with Kaerpernick, things should change.

A complete off season? You mean with Jenkins not performing, Manningham and Crabtree injured. I mean yeah they still have Davis and Boldin and their running game but it's not like Kaepernick had a chance to create a rapport with all his receivers.

49ers and Kaepernick don't have a gimmicky offense. The read-option ran wild against Green Bay, because they did little to defend against it, but the 49ers hardly even run the read option that often.

I sure hope so.

I only worry about the Niners is that no team has gone on to win the Super Bowl the season after losing it since like 1973. And that was the one and only time it's ever been done. I think history is against my 49ers.

What I'm saying is, Coach Harbaugh and Kaepernick has a complete off season and should/have manage a game plan for Kaepernick's capabilities. Unlike last year, the whole game plan ran through Alex Smith and they quickly had to shift to Kaepernick's skills (which by the way ended in a Superbowl appearance). So with that said, a complete off season doesn't necessarily have to be meant for one portion of the team's game plan.

Yes. 49ers only run the read option when it's a one-on-one defense, and that's where Kaepernick beats you with his feet. Other than that, they still run the west coast offense and then some (with Kaepernicks arm).

I love these football talks, great to hear all sides and angles from other football fanatics!!!

Great Thread!

Dude, how many teams are you a fan of? Shades of Silver Knight..

Hey now. I'm allowed to have a soft spot for other teams. They aren't a favorite in any sense of the word. Besides, my excuse is that half of my family is from Louisiana.

You have the Steelers and Giants being way better than I think they'll actually be. Giants are at best a 3 or 4 seed this year but more likely a 5 or 6. I don't think the Steelers will even be a playoff team.

Also Bengals can't be a 4 seed if the Steelers are a Top 2. Best they could be is a 5. Winner of the South would have to be the 4 so flip them and the Colts.

Oh, Brady..what you doin'?

I'm calling it right now.

Super Bowl: XLVIII: Lions/Browns

"The Curse Bowl"

:hehe:

Heh, go look up the teams that played for the NFL Championship the most times in the 1950's. That used to be the NFL's marquis match-up at one point in time.

Everything your saying could be applied to the rams too, this is Bradford's first season where he has the same OC from the year before and we upgraded like crazy on offense and our defense is pretty much the same only now guys like James Lauranitas and Janoris Jenkins have more help and more experience also this guy named Jake Long is here to keep Bradford's jersey clean and honestly look at how good he was in Oklahoma with a clean jersey. I think Kap might be ok this year but don't count out the rams.

Not in my world. I have my team, and the rest of em can rot.

I'm a 49ers fan through it all, but I also have a soft spot for the Steelers (my dad is a Steelers fan so I grew up in a Steelers friendly home) and the Titans (have lived in the Nashville area for the last nearly 6 years). Some teams like the Lions, Falcons, Saints, and wherever Peyton Manning is playing, are all teams I enjoy watching even if I'm not particularly a fan.

To me, the real teams that can rot are the Cowboys, Raiders, Seahawks, Cardinals, Rams, Giants, and Ravens. :cmad::cmad::cmad:

Although even the Ravens I don't hate hate.

Must admit, Seahawks looking like more of a threat to New England in the AFC than Denver is right now.

Skip talks to hear himself talk.

Pick em thread is open.

Dustin Keller tore his ACL, MCL, PCL and, as if that weren't enough, dislocated his knee,

(sighs)

That's the best news the Jets have heard this year.
