They did, And we are forever grateful for that but we lost the Cardinals and if we lost the Rams too it'd be pretty bad for the city. Don't want to be the city that's lost two NFL franchises.

It's the Cardinals.

Phoenix was the only loser in that deal.

Plenty of reason too as we had a 4-1-1 record against divisional opponents, a top 15 defense, a 1,000 yrd back ,tied for the lead league in sacks and that was all in Jeff Fishers first season. We have made some substantial upgrades on offense and had a by all accounts what looks to be a great draft this past offense, so maybe you should start paying attention.

I think the Rams will battle for a Wild Card spot this season. I can see them finishing around 9-7.

I hope that's a joke, cuz if not, I think this guy might have something to say about that:

We're really looking good out there against the Eagles right now. Great coverage and overall D. And Todman is a beast on offense right now.

If that's the Falcons' o-line we're facing twice this year, say hello to the new NFC South champs. Monsters Inc. is gonna eat Matt Ryan up for breakfast.

Rams looked great last night.

I don't know Immortal. Our pass rush got to Ryan last season too.

If Star and KK get going early, Matt is gonna have to throw on the run more.

I also saw some improvements in our secondary with D.J Moore and Drayton Florence. I think the Panthers could surprise everyone this year. They just need to start playing better in the second half. If they can do that, they're a playoff team.

Alec looked like a stud last night, considering they were only playing base D

Yeah and that was against the ones! Austin looked awesome aswell.

Even Norman is playing better. He has three INTs (two pick-sixes) in the preseason so far. Him, Thomas and Moore could be our starters, and I feel good about them behind this front seven. We'll still get burned by Brees and Ryan, but if our defense can just fend off one TD, we'll have a shot. Our o-line is abysmal too but The Saints and Falcons have had trouble containing Cam and our running backs.

I'm a little worried about their schedule too. Their last 10 games, 6 of them are in the division. Very important to get off to a good start. I would like them to be 4-2 or better by the time they play Tampa at the end of October.

I can't even watch football anymore. All these rule changes and protecting of the QB and taking defense out of football, have took the love of the game away from me. It's pretty much flag football.

Me too. We've gotten rough schedules for awhile now and it pisses me off. That said, Cam and The Panthers should have gone to the playoffs last year. Our defense blew five late leads (Dallas, Kansas City, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Chicago). I can't fault the DBs too much because McDermott wanted them to play soft (by giving wideouts way too much cushion) but they still got burned every week.

Hopefully our defense holds this year cuz I'm exhausted with ESPN's Cam-hate.

That final drive by Atlanta still haunts me. :csad:

So both of Pittsburgh's top draft picks this year sustained serious injuries that will likely keep them out of the lineup for months. Oh, and our top picks last year? Well, they've managed to stay healthy so that the can routinely rack up 8,000 yards in penalties.

Oh boy, I can't wait for the season.
