And somehow Tebow is supposed to be the answer to their problems.

Well Tebow would address attendance problems.

Because he is.

What's next? Are you going to tell me that Harbaugh isn't a whiny, melodramatic crybaby? If you actually believe this crap, I've got a bridge to sell you. :oldrazz:

I'll take one of those. :oldrazz:

"Because he is"

Translation: I have nothing to base my opinion off of, I'm just bitter and a hater, so I'm gonna keep on hating.

At least when my team loses I blame my team, not the refs like a certain coach and his fans. :oldrazz:

I never blamed the refs for anything...:huh::huh:

I didn't watch most of the games because I was at Yankee Stadium, but when I saw that the Chiefs beat the Jaguars 28-2. I was like Smith is stepping up. Until I found out, 1 TD came off a INT. 3 others came after great field position after returned punts and another INT. I mean this is typical Smith 173 yards with conservative passing?

He'll be exposed against that Cowboys D next week (can't believe I'm saying that) and we'll remember he's Alex Smith.

Our front seven scared Seahawk fans. No joke. They actually believe we possess the superior front seven over the 49ers (huge compliment). Hardy, Johnson and Star were crushing and manhandling their o-line and Kuechly was flying all over the place.

Still, that fumble by D-Will in the red zone was a kick in the groin. We were sooooo close. :csad::csad::csad: I honestly want Rivera to succeed but he lacks a killer instinct and an average game management IQ.

Shula basically made Cam a game manager today too. I did not like that at all.

Looking at the schedule, I think they can roll off 5 to 6 wins in the next 7 games. I'm hoping they're not gonna copy last season and lose games by 7 points or less. That's what killed them last season. They have to learn how to close out games and keep the lead.

Looks like the officiating crew from Sunday afternoon's game in San Francisco has been downgraded.

I'm glad he didn't resign with the 49ers.

NFL Nicknames, Week 1

Some of these are repeats from last season, but well... when you keep making the same mistakes...

Of course, most of these are the result of the horrible, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE Titans/Steelers game, which I know most of you didn't watch (and I don't blame you). But after I witness my team embarrass themselves on national television (which is often, unfortunately), the only comfort I can find is to bash the hell out of them. Oh, well. At least I can still look forward to hockey season, in which the Penguins will be touted as the most talented team in the league all year until they choke horribly in the playoffs again.

Anyway...

Pittsburgh "Wave the Turnover Towel" SteelIRs

I Suck Redman

Ben Roethlisderper

Mike "A Man of Few Words, and Fewer Ideas" Tomlin

Todd Failey

Dick Leb-Over

La'Rod Stephens-Howling in Pain

Mike "Thanks for Keeping Me Employed, Pittsburgh" Munchak

Maurkice "My Annual Injury Came Early" Pouncey

Blame Gabbert

Brynden "Friendly Fire" Trawick

Danny "Dumb as Desean" Trevathan (Hey, it even rhymes! I think...)

Tampa Bay "We Lost to the Jets" Buccaneers

Darius "Safety First" Reynaud

EJ "Not a Tuel" Manuel

New York Gi-INTs

Tyson "Assin" Jackson

Ndamukong "Sweep the Leg, Johnny!" Suh

Anyone have any others? Particularly ones for the Steelers? F*** my team.

Ugh, I'm so tired of losing with the caliber of talent we in our possession, and I'm sick of moral victories and learning experiences. As a Seahawk fan told me last night: "The Panthers are like The 49ers with Singletary at the helm. Only better cuz you guys have a Cam Newton, not an Alex Smith."

I hold that to be true, especially after watching our defense dominate yesterday. Despite a weak secondary, lack of weapons and a subpar o-line, we almost clinched the NFC South last year. As long as we don't play NOT to lose, we'll have a shot.

Since this resurgence, 49ers fans are quickly overtaking Patriots & Steelers fans in vocality (Read haughty, overbearing). I would hate to see what happens if they were to actually win something this decade.

Well, as a Niner fan since 1980, I hope they can keep winning like they did 25 years ago...

And I have never blamed a ref for losing a game...

I've been unhappy with blown calls... who doesn't... but they didn't lose last year's SB because of the refs... they lost that game because of 4 bad play selections in that last minutes when they were in the red zone.

They'd react like any other team winning it. Celebrations on the streets, perhaps a little over celebrating etc, nothing less, nothing more.

He's not talking about the immediate reaction, but the general smugness that sets in. It's not exclusive to a few franchises in my opinion. It happens to every fanbase once they start racking up championships. It's the Yankee Effect.

Now that the boring games are all over, its almost time to go.

There hasn't been this much promise heading into the season in a loooong time.

HTTR!!!:woot:

Exactly, thanks for clearing that up. I was walking a tightrope and didn't want to stray too far off into the unvarnished truth.
