Rex has already figured out a way to make the Bills even more embarrassing. First Incognito, not this jerk? Can't make it up.

Don't jump to the conclusion that this guy is the sole jerk here. According to reports, Smith owed him $600 and when this guy confronted him about it after multiple requests for the money, Smith got aggressive with him and stuck a finger in his face.

Bowles initial comments of this being a "sucker punch" don't seem to be getting supported by anyone else's account. I guarantee you that if Smith's jaw wasn't broken Empkali (sp?) would still be a Jet.

I know the story. He still had little self-control and punched another human being. This is the same guy who attacked and punched a police officer who identified themselves. The guy is a jerk. Whether Geno is a jerk is irrelevant because Geno didn't punch anyone like a meathead.

I don't know what would happen if the Broncos went up for sale. There has been talk here in St. Louis about the Rams moving to LA and then the Jaguars moving here to take their place.

I believe he owns both the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets (someone correct me if I am wrong). He also owns Arsenal of the EPL.

He does own the Avalanche and Nuggets. However, NFL rules prevent him from owning other major sports teams in another NFL market, so he transferred day-to-day operations to his son Josh. If he was to buy the Broncos, he could own the Broncos, Avalanche and Nuggets.

I threw that scenario out there due to the health of Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen. When he passes, the team will likely go to one of his children (not likely the one that was recently arrested) and they will either keep the team like Chiefs owner Clark Hunt did when his father died or the Bills in that Ralph Wilson died and his family had zero interest in keeping the team and they became for sale.

In that scenario though, it would only be if the Broncos were to be sold to someone else and that new owner swaps teams with Kroenke.

Man, Justin Gilbert sucks ass. Let this be a lesson, don't draft a DB with a top 15 pick unless you've got an Earl Thomas or Sean Taylor or Deion Sanders or Darrelle Revis or Charles Woodson or etc awaiting. Soooo many disappointments and underachievers.

Claiborne
Kirkpatrick
Millner
Pacman
Peterson
Rogers
Bryant

He isn't a bear. He is a human being. That he can't act like one is his fault.

People get in fights. It happens, especially in NFL training camps, they tend to happen frequently given the circumstances (long practices, heat, physical sports, etc.). The outcome is what is unusual here not the fact that a fight occurred.

This isn't a fight. An argument isn't a fight. This is why if Smith presses charges we are probably looking at legit jail time.

So how did the Cowboys do? I'm waiting for the Texans games but am curious

They lost 17-7. I'm a 'Boys fan and thought they got some good play from a couple of their 'key need to look at' players. Romo, Bryant, Randle, two of their starting offensive linemen and their three starting corners didn't play. But...I liked what I saw from CB Corey White, DE Randy Gregory and Greg Hardy. Also their receivers Williams and Street played awesome--if they can keep that play up it will be difficult for defenses to constantly double Bryant.

There were definitely problems though. Poor run tackling, SS Heath looked like he was back playing some HS football, backup offensive lineman Weems looked lost, and a few other players didn't impress. They had a couple of sloppy turnovers and their special teams coverage (mostly without starters) was poor.

Hm,Doesn't seem bad for an incomplete team(Romo and other missing)

Not bad at all. I guess when you're a diehard fan you tend to overanalyze things and get really critical, even if it is preseason.

Yeah I'm the same way or was much more

uh how do you think most fights start? From arguments. Don't be pedantic. No one's going to jail over this, get real. Are you Geno Smith's agent or something?

I am sick of people acting like criminals in sports and people acting like it is okay because they are athletes. This is exactly what we saw with domestic violence and sexual assault in the past. Playing it off as no big deal. He assaulted someone. A fight is between two people, not one ******* decided to clock someone.

Not making any excuses for anyone...just stating a fact. Many of these players was brought up in questionable environments, atmosphere, lack of community, many with broken families, & fatherless household, learning life from questionable, in mature people, most from all their lives....I said "many & most" so don't act like I'm lumping 100% in this category.

The fact is, how do you expect many to come from nothing to sudden abundance, to act....it's a learning curve that some will overcome and some won't. These players are living the "American Dream", if there's really is such a thing...but they still bring some of negativity of the condition they grew up in & experience....including not knowing how to properly handle disagreements & peculiar situations.

Carolina continues to be a safehaven for UDFAs, and outcasts like Oher and Ginn. For those Panther fans in here who caught the game last night against Sexy Rexy's team, Brandon Wegher RB and Rakim Cox DE stood out. Here are their stories:

I caught most of your guys game and I just have to wonder if Newtons Accuracy will ever get better. He has the ability he just doesn't seem to be progressing in that area.

Newton completed 62% of his passes in 2013 when he had a solid O-Line. That said, he'll never be a precision passer. That's not who he is as a QB. Cam is a gunslinger with a cannon like Favre and Cutler. That means his passes tend sail over the head of a receiver every now and then, or he'll put too much zip on one and miss by five yards before a cut is even made by his receiver.

And yet, Cam is one of the few QBs in the league who can throw a 35 yard laser inbetween an Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman and make it look easy. I've learned to take the good with the bad.

When he gets time to throw, you'll get a drive like last night where he went 4 for 4 with 83 yards and a touchdown. If Carolina can protect Cam, then his accuracy is more than serviceable.
