25th Anniversary GI JOES figures

Found the Nemesis Enforcer/Lt. Falcon 2-pack at Wal-Mart. I have to say, it I wasn't set on collecting every figure, I would easily suggest passing on it. The figures are pretty underwhelming in about every way.

 

I went ahead and picked up Spirit today at TRUs. I still dont like the headsculpt, but I had some extra $ in my pocket so I figured what the hell.

 

Bought Snow Job and Python Patrol Cobra Trooper today at Wal Mart. I almost grabed the HISS tank, but didnt want to spend any more money.lol

 

Tempted as I am, I've been reluctant to pick up any of the 25th Anniversary Joe figures - I mostly can only afford to stick with TFs these days - but I'm making a very big exception for this guy:

I can't pass this up; it's frickin' Matt Trakker. The only thing missing is Thunderhawk to scale.

 

I picked up the Firebat today, not because I like it (unless a vehicle can carry more than one figure for a ride, it's not worth getting IMO) but the price was too good to pass up.

Is it ethical to take advantage when an independent comic book store clearly has something mispriced? The Firebat was only 14$ (Canadian) when all the rest of the vehicles were 24$.

 

okay, backup a sec. Is that what I think it is? Is that an character from an certain 80's toon that has one of the catchiest theme songs EVER being released under these 25th anniversary joe lines? Here's my 7 or 8 bucks Target/Walmart/TRU. You've earned it!

 

If they release in-scale versions of any of the MASK vehicles, that would be another level of awesomeness. If not the T-hawk, then maybe something smaller like Brad and the Condor, or Sly Rax and Pirhana.

 

So they can make Trakker look angry, but not Serpentor?

 

Customize, my friend. A couple of Gundam pens can work wonders. Color in Serpentor's eyes black; it's f'in wild.

That's what I do with a lot of the "doubles" I'm getting as part of two-packs and group sets; a little shave here and there, some drawn in tattoos (heads and face too!) and some spot painting and you've got brand new characters. I'm totally turning the second Major Bludd I'm getting as part of the desert troopers set tomorrow into a total freak.

All six of those look awesome, but I regret buying the original Zartan, now that we're getting one with his own swamp skier. And Airborne. Woo hoo!!

I hope the next wave is Tunnel Rat, Low Light, Mercer, Techno Viper, Pythona and Footloose.

 

Tunnel Rat is going to be in one of the upcoming comic packs.

 

I cant wait for the new Zartan, he is one of my favorite characters.


I did pick up Croc Master at TRUs the other day. He was the only one left from the wave that was still on the pegs.

And, of course, he's paired with Storm Shadow, a figure that most avid buyers of this line have 2-5 of already.

How difficult would it be to package "new" figures with, at least, a troop builder? I could use a few more blueshirt troopers.

 

Bought the new Zartan with Swamp Skier and Matt Trakker tonight at Target!

 

I actually found the variant black head (ew) Destro 2 pack today at TRU.

 

A friend of mine has the black storm shadow variant. I'm so jealous.

 

What the heck did they do to serpentor? The original figure looked much better.

I used to own over 200 gi joe figures plus a whole wack of vehicles. Those were the days. (PLUS I owned that big friggin 6 foot aircraft carrier toy. That was awesome).

 

Decided to stop by Kohl's on a whim today, and ended up finding all the Wave 10 figures.

 

You Americans are lucky. I heard the Water Moccasin (or whatever they're calling it now) is already in your stores. That was one of the best vehicles.

 

Going through my drawers, I discovered a bunch of unused white Apple computer stickers. As such, I am eagerly awaiting the upcoming Artic HISS,so I can create the very first "I-Tank"!!

 

Picked up today at Toys R Us, Wave 13 Gijoe Resolute Cobra Commander, Cobra Trooper x2 & Duke as well as Blowtorch, after that found wave 12 figures at Target and picked up, Zartan w/skiff, Sgt. Airbourne, Cobra Para-Viper & Matt Trakker.

 

Ive geard the Resolute figs are hitting. Im going out today Im going to keep an eye open. TRUs has been stocked up on Joe figs. I was able to grab Mutt & Junkyard as well as Wraith. Ive also spotted the Arise Serpentor Arise DVD/figure pack.

 

In the past month, I've gotten Croc Master, Flint as an Cobra trooper, Blowtorch, and today and I got Junkyard and Mutt.

Lost my job an couple weeks back and man it's such bad timing. We've had like an 2 month drought of no single packed joes and now they're EVERYWHERE. When I got Junkyard at TRU, they also had Wraith, an TON of new vehicles, and several different cobra troops that I don't have. And I saw Scarlett in flight gear at Target last week but I was penniless

 

Oh and I got Resolute Cobra Commander. How many Resolute figs are there so far? I heard there's an Duke figure. What's he look like cause I haven't even seen an pic of him?
