Horror 28 Years Later

Horror and slasher films.

Why is no one talking about this wonderful movie? I just came back from it, and LOVED this movie! This movie grabs you immediately and is extremely vile at times, but also strangely beautiful. There is so much in this movie thay should not work that works in spades. O'Connell and Fienes are outstanding here.

Nothing but good things to say.

5/5 from me

Yeah, great reviews and word of mouth.

Unfortunately I think releasing it in January might have been a bad idea as it’s on its way to open much less than the first (3rd?) one.

Maybe its legs will prevail though.

Let's hope it does well.

They only released the fourth one in January because the third one was in June, so that it's 28 weeks later. Which is even more of a shame because they were released very close to one another but now it's going to be a long while until the fifth one comes as it hasn't even have a script.

In other news the movie is great, very much on par with the previous one. I'm very pumped up for the next one, especially after that ending. Let's hope it gets made.

Just watched it and loved it. I think it is miles better than the last film.

I do not understand why we keep finding more and more people that are spread out on the island. I thought they were all in that tiny village but apparently not!

I think early estimates were around 20, so that's lower than anticipated. Hoping it has strong legs.

Also I have to mention:

List of the best Murphys returning in the franchise in the final scene:
1) John
2) Cillian
:o

This movie ruled and might actually be my favorite of the series so far. Nia Dacosta did a great job. I thought it was a little better than the previous one thanks to three elements: this felt like much more of a horror movie (not even having to do with the infected at all but the scene with the Jimmys in the barn was so unsettling) and the other two being the stellar performances of Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell. Between Sinners and this, that guy has villains down to a science.
