I wasn't even going to bother seeing it! I was like nah, not for me. And then I heard more about it and thought okay I'll give it a go, I have a movie pass anyway so I'm loosing anything.

And yeah, I'm addicted! To the point where I want to collect the comics, I bought Awesome Mix vol 1 and can't stop listening to it, and have an awesome glow in the dark Groot funko figure. :p

So yeah, it's totally grown on me and everyone I think. I have yet to hear of someone totally hating it.

I can't say I'm that big of a fan, but I enjoyed the film a lot. By far one of the funniest films by Marvel I've ever seen. Plus, it was sort of a combination of all my favorite genres: sic-fi, comedy, and adventure.

I've seen a lot of people I know on Facebook either like the official GotG page or make a status about it. It's funny you say that though, because I also saw it with a pass!

I can't see anyone hating on the film either; unless they just don't like any of the above categories or completely despise the characters. Speaking of which, the characters are the one area I thought they would drop the ball, but now some people I know are in love with them.

You think the guy behind 99 homes should write for the third movie by Webb since he's tied to garfield?
 
No. Because 99 Homes isn't out yet, therefore we cannot recommend the writer for TASM3, since we don't know if it's good or not.
 
Well the guy does have a great track record so if 99 homes gets great critical reception hopefully the creator of the film handles TASM 3

It's just such a funny feel good movie that doesn't take itself seriously. Which I love about it. You watch it and afterward feel all sunshine and rainbows inside. Good for when you're having a bad day. And I loved every character. They were all thought out and fit perfectly with the movie and the aim they were going for. Nothing was out of place or anything. It really is one of the funniest Marvel movies, as you said. I think it's done so much better than they ever thought, which is a great thing. I just hope that if there is a sequel, that it'll be equally as good if not better.

Agreed.

I definitely think there's going to be a sequel; otherwise, we'll surely be seeing more of these characters sometime soon.

As you said, they mixed together every ingredient perfectly. The hardest part of CBM being very successful, however, is that their sequels have extremely high expectations and studios often take a chance and take their audiences for granted. It's basically what we saw after SM2.

I must say though, with my younger cousins buying their toys and book bags already, it's struck a chord with the mainstream audience and I feel like they'll be around for a while.

Sony certainly has to up its game to get back in the mix of everything in the next couple of years.

Iron Man 3 is ok but more to the good side.

I don't mind the Mandarin twist but I feel like in the context of the film, they got rid of a cooler badass for something worse. It felt like a downgrade going from badass Kingsley to Killian.
 
Interesting.

In that case, I really hope the female spinoff won't be released in the summer of 2017.
