Miles - my primary issues with the film are characterisation - the characters aren't important because of what they are, but because of what they do, I didn't understand Cage, Rita, Farrell or anyone else for that matter. And the characterisation is somewhat subtle and simple to pass by, IMHO.

I just hate Tom Cruise. :funny:

:lmao

maybe. I'd say were both very "religious" but I guess I'm more tolerant of things. I don't know how she would react if I told her I started watching Game of Thrones at college.

Wow.

She's probably straight up murder you? :oldrazz:

Originalmiles - not many will agree on your everlasting hate towards Tom Cruise, LOL. He's a good actor, but the role is pretty poorly drawn out.

TheSpectacular - I can honestly relate to that... I don't watch anything with Sex, honestly. I know I'm meant to sound embarrassed because of that, but I'm not.

Don't know why you would be embarrassed. Keep that mind of yours pure.

Miles - I liked it too, Caesar was handled brilliantly, but the rest of the film was generic, general and cliché, and predictable as piss. Let's not forget the protagonist, you're beginning to prefer the other species over our own because you care for them Cliché.

Spectacular, I doubt your mother would approve of you watching this little gem.

Spectacular - I'm not embarrassed at all, and I wouldn't like to be, either, thanks for the kind words, but sadly, and without generalising, there's several out there who will critique you for your beliefs. I'm glad me and you both could be proud, then :P

:yay: my thoughts exactly. (except for the predictable part)

I have a tendency of hating films the first time I watch them, then completely loving them second time through. That's mostly with expectations. I didn't like DOFP too much when I first saw it, because A) I went in with 0 hours of sleep and B) I was expecting more from the future storyline... but looking back, besides that, it's an excellent film.

This year I've had films that I loved more on first viewings and dwindled down on second viewings(and third(and fourth(and...))))*cough* ASM2 *cough*

Days of Future Past and Amazing 2 dropped a bit. Cap is still going strong. Guardians, well I try not to think about it.

That's cool if you didn't like GOTG - I, for one, love it a lot, but certainly, my rating dropped from 10/10 to a 9-9.2/10. Regarding my .2 ratings - I don't put too much weight into ratings, so that's simply a sort of indication on how much I love the film, not certainly it's quality in specific. I love a 9.2 film more than a 9 film, it's simplistic :)

Most of my love for DOFP comes from my childhood attachment to the X-Men, and seeing the original cast return was just awesome.

My dislike towards DOFP comes from the fact I went into the movie without any sleep, so I was pretty bored, LOL. No worries - I'm sure I'll love it. And, out of sheer curiosity - am I the only one who liked Wolverine Origins?

Hint: Life After Beth & X-Men Origins have the same rating from me. :funny:

Did you like Life After Beth?

The first time around, I watched a pirated copy with awful sound and okayish picture and I was in an awful mood... and gave it a 3/10.

The second time around, I watch a Blu-Ray rip with great picture and sound and gave it a 5/10.

Yes, I like Life After Beth. :yay: why wouldn't I?

Miles - 5/10 doesn't sound like you like something, but I don't put much weight into ratings, so I'm glad you liked it ^__^
Wolverine Origins is, and will always be, a guilty pleasure :D
