Max probably had the clearest motivation in the whole movie.

While I loved Harry, in the end... he made no sense:

"You BETRAYED ME!!" - what? HOW!? Like, now you know why the blood/venom was dangerous, and you should realize that Peter was protecting you. :funny:

Well, as we all know, any incarnation of Gobby is a few bulbs short of a tanning bed, and Harry had a bit of a similar motivation to Max. He was lonely too, and he was pissed that Peter didn't come through for him, despite the fact that he was right not to.

Yeah, I get that... but after his mutation, he should be thanking Peter, no matter how crazy he is. :funny:

But we wouldn't have a movie :oldrazz:. Is it any more petty than Dafoe's Goblin flipping out because Spidey wouldn't be his ally?

While likable, there wasn't much to Gwen as a character, honestly.

Emma Stone was still great as Gwen, though.

Haha, true! :funny:

That's another thing that makes Goblin dangerous; Not only is he insane, he's a malignant narcissist. Also, DeHaan's look, while not exactly what we wanted, was miles ahead of Dafoe's joke of a costume.

Yeah, the whole Peter takes pictures means he knows Spidey is overdone. It works better in some iterations over others.

Dumbing down Peter is a no-no.

It is a strange feeling, I guess. I'd call it more of a disappointed feel because the good parts of the movie show what it was capable of being.

I was referring to the scene between May and Peter, "you're my boy" as being the one I felt was the best.

Definitely. I think it's between that and Gwen's death scene.

That suit is pretty cool.

Did I tell you guys that I finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy? I thought more Star Trek (reboot) and less Star Wars watching it.

What would you rate GotG?

That bothered me a lot.

That's the problem.

We as fans know that because we know who Goblin was in the comics. To the general audience, some of his motives made no sense. That's why producers need to make clear motivations for villains because most of the audience is coming from a perspective where they know very little about the characters, no matter how prominent they might be.

True. But the general audience probably won't be dwelling on that aspect as much as the fans will.

So I Just got back form watching interstellar with my mom and all I can say is wow! just wow! What a great emotional complex movie! Even though the movie was complex I understood most of it. I just had to think a little bit. Seeing a moving and having to think is not a bad thing lol. Sever things in the movie surprised me and some people have said that has good has Christopher noal is has a director that he is cold and cant make an emotional movie wrong! This movie was very emotional and got to my hart sever times. I almost never cry when I see a movie and I got tear eyed sever times in this movie. Need to see the movie again ASAP!

Hey now, I actually kinda liked that original GG costume, lol.
But yeah, I did prefer TASM-2 Goblins' look. The suit was good, but it was the dformities into a goblin that really sold me on the look.
And it helps that Dehaan is already weird looking :woot:

That's why I don't understand why people think Max didn't have a clear motivation. He thought he finally found someone who gave a **** about him, and he got let down. I can't think of a simpler motive for revenge. Sure, pre-transformation Max was a bit corny and rushed, but Foxx is too skilled of an actor to let a script hamstring him. Electro was actually one of the positives of TASM2 for me.

Max defiantly had a good motivation, but, like Harry, it was played down, and a lot of his scenes were cut. Max's story was a great parallel to Peter's, but they didn't execute it to its fullest extent, probably because Avi and co. decided that using the Transformers Plot/Explosion ratio would get them a Transformers sized payday. :whatever:

...actually, carry on.

:oldrazz:

I see.

I was curious because most people would say GotG is far better.
I don't look at better thinking of movies, I think more enjoyable.
And the villains being forgettable aside, I enjoyed more of Amazing Spider-Man 2 than I didn't.

I like to be an honest critic most of the time. However, as I've said before, there still is an enjoyment factor that keeps me coming back to TASM2.

On another note, I just got TWS on Blu-ray today :yay:
