So I read in a YouTube comment about a particular deleted scene from TASM2 that was supposed to be given to us:

After Gwen's death, Peter is about to beat up Harry, but he's stopped when he has a hallucination of Uncle Ben. Ben supposedly uses the "With great power-" line, and Peter ends up leaving Harry at the clocktower.

I know it was a YouTube comment, but I was wondering if anyone knows if there's any truth to this?

I imagine there's some truth to it, but in retrospect it wouldn't make much sense in the scene, as Harry was already out cold.

That, by the way, makes me wonder how he got out of there.

I'm assuming the cops showed up, so either Harry gained consciousness and left, or somebody else helped him.

What kind of bothers me is how there was no indication at the end of the movie that Gwen's death was suspicious in the public's eyes.

She was Captain Stacy's daughter, after all.

Maybe that'll be expanded upon in S6, who knows? At that point in the movie there wasn't much room for possible suspicions about Gwen's death to be investigated. And maybe Peter left Harry tied up for the police?

I hope so. I wouldn't have wanted them to be too specific, but they could have mentioned the public's suspicions in the scene where Peter and May are watching the news about Spidey's absence.

It's understandable for Electro to end up at Ravencroft since nobody knew who or what he was, but Harry ended up there through Fiers or someone else. There would be too much of an uproar if the police caught Harry near the clocktower/power-plant, since everyone knows him as Norman's son.

If Electro hadn't (possibly) been killed off, maybe Spidey could have just knocked him out and left him for the cops, then he could have been back in Ravencroft with Harry. Then again, he was way too dangerous, so maybe him just blowing up made more sense. I doubt Harry knew who Fiers was at the beginning, so he wouldn't have been suspicious of being in Ravencroft instead of prison.

That's the tricky thing about Electro's powers, though. He's a source of energy, so they had to defeat him altogether to prevent him from recuperating again. That's something I thought was unique about his powers, which is why I wish they developed him a little better.

Harry went to Ravencroft to help Electro escape, so I think he would still be confused as to why he was brought back there.

I loved how they really made Electro an infinitely powerful and difficult opponent, something I wished sorely they had done with Sandman in SM3. The fact that his powers weren't really explained in the movie doesn't bother me all that much. Harry was probably still in the throes of his insanity when he was shipped off to Ravencroft, either that or he didn't really care all that much.

To be honest, my ideal situation is to have S6 and TASM3 out, and then he can go to Marvel. With the lack of news, I have a lingering fear that S6 will be canned, which I don't want because it stands a chance of redeeming this franchise in the eyes of the fans and the public. Though Sony did express confidence in putting the film in the November slot with Goddard at the helm, so I'm not sure if it'll get cancelled.

Two random things about SM2 that have bugged me:

1. How did no one notice Doc Ock at the vault before he chucked the door at May and Peter?

2. When Harry double slaps Peter at the planetarium party, MJ was in the same room, and not that far away from them either. Why the hell didn't she intervene? Everyone else saw it. I know she was mad at Peter and all, but come on.

Yes and it should have been kept in the movie but that is sony biggest problem taking things out of the movies that shouldn't have. If they had not taken so much out of asm1 and 2 then the movies would have been much better and made much more money.

1. There where a few cops that told him to stick his hands up and then Doc ock knot them out and then he chucked the door so some people did noticed.

2. I don't know if she saw it or not.

While we should no soon one way or not of what sony is going to do because if sinister six is still coming out in November of 2016 they are going to be filming in just a few months so we are going to either have some casting news in a few months or be told about a reboot or cancel of sinister six or something.

1. I mean when he's just standing in front of the vault and then rips off the back of his trench coat to begin prying the door off. No one reacts until after he throws the door, including the guards.

2. I highly doubt she didn't see it. Everyone else in the party audibly gasps and looks at them.

I mean, Electro's powers are exactly why I wish he was written better, especially in terms of the writers providing a solid origin and motive for him. If you look at the powers he had, that was probably the most power given to him out of any Spidey villain we've seen onscreen. However, his writing is what has him near the bottom of the barrel right now. That's just my opinion, though.

As I've said before, I'm done speculating altogether. My thoughts are that they shouldn't can the series unless they're giving the rights to Marvel in the form of some kind of crossover. I've just never believed in movies being cut in the middle of a story. They made TASM2 with the intention of starting a universe - they can't just turn around and scrap it. The problem is that it's a big turnoff to some people in the general audience, and the franchise risks not getting those people on its side again.

That's my final opinion on the series at the moment. I'm done, for example, speculating on the validity of a rumor, and look forward to hearing confirmed news.

Do you know of any credible sources that confirmed that this was true?

2. I have seen the movie like a million times but I don't remember where she was at when harry slap peter. Are you sure she is in the same room?

I don't remember the site but there was a site that had photos and descriptions off like ever thing that was cut form the movies. You could like make another 2 movies form ever thing that was cut and not only that but just about ever thing cut would have either completely fix or greatly improved like everything in the movie. You take ever thing that was cut and just about ever problem with the movie would have either been greatly improved or completely fixed.

Too bad I missed the leaked image of Doctor Doom before Fox decided to remove it.

As I'm playing LEGO Marvel on the PS3, I noticed he talks there about controlling a person's mind, he doesn't say that in the PC version, thankfully.
He doesn't say anything about freezing the water in the PC port.

1. Maybe so, but most banks wouldn't let anyone just waltz over to the vault.

2. She is in the same room, because right after the fight, Jonah yells at Peter to take a picture of John and MJ.

That's a weird change... unnecessary too.
Weird, and unneeded.
I wish the PS3 kept these two unnecessary comments by Coulson out.

I also played LEGO Batman 2 on both systems, the map marker in the PS3 port scans and shows items, and it shows what icon the cursor stands on.
The PC port doesn't do that.
