Okay wow. Totaly didn't expect it to differ as much as it did from the original film. I mean wow. I wont spoil anything though.

As a fan of the original I must say I did think the new one was good. Not great, but good. I liked the physological aspect the first one had. A little sad it was missing from the new one.

Bale and Crowe were awsome in the movie. Great acting. Hope more westerns spring up.

I'd definitely say the remake was superior, by a long shot. I believe that remakes of today should definitely be remade from either lesser-known movies and not so good movies of the past.

I agree 100%, this was a great movie, Bale/Crowe/Foster were just amazing, a great western.

-Russell Crowe's Ben Wade is simply enjoyable to watch. Switching from merciless killer to charming adventurer. Then there is Dan Evans; the ultimate unlikely hero. Where Ben is confident and smooth Dan is nervous and always doubting himself.

-The dialog and its delivery between the two characters are just as engaging, if not more, as the shootouts.

Far more enjoyable than the original

I just rented the movie and itis absolutely amazing beyond belief. Just great. Ben Foster suprised me alot i actually wanted to see more of his character he was just amazing.

most people who voted probably havent seen the original

I liked his performance as well. I had always liked his character in The Punisher. Same couldn't be said for Hostage lol.

Anybody remember "Flash Forward"?

^Love Flash Forward, I wish they would release it on DVD.

And concerning 3:10 to Yuma, I would say I like them both equally, but I'm going to have to go with the remake on this one. Now, don't get me wrong, I very much enjoy the original. Personally, I thought a lot of the remakes groundwork was laid by the original, especially concerning Russel Crowe's Ben Wade. But the one thing that made me chose the remake over the original was the ending. For me, it made PERFECT sense, compared to the original which, for me, almost felt out of place.

I like them both, but I prefer the remake over the original.
