Trailer came out...

eh. It looks like it MIGHT be fun. I like the cast. Kinda reminded me of Sherlock Holmes trailer. Probably going to wait for DVD

looks like typical paul ws anderson fare, although it could be fun. Isn't there another, potentially better produced/more serious take, 3 Muskateers in production?

I dunno... I'd rather see an Assassins Creed film personally..

I was expecting Orlando Bloom to throw 'Skittles' at the camera, yelling out "3D, 3D!"*

*Got the Skittles joke from G4's 'Attack of the Show'.

i think logan lerman being kind of a robin like character brings trailer down a bit the actual 3 musketeers look like bad ass's

Agreed. I felt like the trio were in a different, far better film then the rest of the trailer.

I like the cast alright - but it's just so questionable due to the director. The only thing that I don't question him is his wife. YUMMERS.

if you take away from Sherlock Holmes(2009)..... RDJ and Law you get a bad movie. lets not kid ourself. we all know that RDJ and Law made that movie.

this looks like a normal P WS Anderson movie. hes forced matrix style shots look forced and bad. i still find it funny that he needs to give hes wife an action scene in a movie to get normal sex.

Lorman looks like a girl and the 3D is again a gimmick.

very rare in hoollywood do you get the same movies realesed. when the first movie goes into production then the other movie stops. i dont think they will realese the other Muskateers movie.

about Assassing Creed. i refuse to belive that the only reason this looks like thegame cinematic trailer is because its a similar time and location. bulls.. he had to use images form the game cinematic trailer because he is Paul WS Anderson.

i gotta say it looks pretty fun...

honestly i could give a crap about a musketeer movie, but this has managed to get my interest. Especially with the nice cast.

i dont think Anderson is a bad director, just a bad writer... but at least he's aware of his writing style and his directing compliments it in a good way(or good enough way). Unlike m. night shyamalan and other similar directors who's work ultimatley becomes a huge dissapointment.

ive never been let down by his movies..(maybe because i always have low expectations) but they're always nice little forgettable popcorn films

as for assassin creed... i definatly see the resemblance even though ive never played the game, but who cares? lol if anything it'd make it more watchable.

Hmmm... it's been a while since I read The Three Musketeers. Guess I forgot about the flying ships and Milady dodging bullets.

Looks like Anderson is going for a Steampunk Three Musketeers.

Oh well I guess that will seperate it from the most well known three other versions

The 2001 Tim Roth, Mena Suvari Kung Fu version

1993 Charlie Sheen, kiefer Sutherland, Chris O'Donnell and Tim Roth version

1970s classic versions starring Oliver Reed, Micheal York and Frank Finlay

Hmm. Yeah, well I was hoping it would be a little closer to the novel...at least what with the various interviews I had read. But I figured we'd be getting an overblown action movie. I don't mind adding a bit of flair, but come on, they're taking on forty guys? That's the kind of thing I hate about action movies like that. When you see four people taking on forty men easily, there's no sense of danger or suspense.

I do agree that the trio (Aramis, Athos, and Porthos) look to be spot-on in terms of characterization. I'm glad they finally cast a physically large Porthos, because he was always described as a large man in the books, and they've never really captured that well until this movie.

Still, I wish they had kept it closer to the novel with a few added touches here and there. Oh well. I'll still see it. If it's going to be it's own thing, hopefully it's at least good at what it does.

I like how there's an end of the world scenario in this film, it's very original, in no way has that been done over and over again! :whatever:

Looks like a fun, hyper-stylized take on the classic story, the bit at the beginning with the cloaked Musketeer coming out of the water was cool.

Looks entertaining enough. I've never been a huge Musketeers fan, but enjoyed the 90's version, which wasn't that great according to most fans. Can't say that I like that Bloom is in this though.

Anderson is the problem. This has is idiotic stamp all over it.

Afterlife was one of the most mentally challanged things i've ever seen.

True, I don't care for Anderson or the Resident Evil movies all that much either, but this still looks entertaininig enough to catch on Netflix at the very least.

Definitely Anderson's work, I knew Milla was around here somewhere :argh:

STOP RUINING RESIDENT EVIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just get annoyed with the general idea that you need to make the Musketeers "bigger" so now you have people amping up the threat they're supposed to be stopping. Instead of just trying to get the diamond necklace back for the Queen, now suddenly it's up to them to prevent war from covering all of Europe.

Oh well, there's still the old 70's films.
