I love the idea of them being introduced. I'd prefer it being during the course of the movie instead of an after-credits scene, though.

1. A strong plot that makes these characters coming together seem organic and logical...not a gimmick.

2. Great character interaction the likes of which Joss Whedon brought to Firefly/Serenity. Especially between Cap and Tony, Tony and Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow, Nick Fury and all of them.

3. Son of Coul being the unsung badass of the group who quietly gets **** done with a smile.

I really don't want a post-credits scenne, this is supposed to be like an enging for the whole Avengers assembly, i want people that beigin with iron man 1 to be able to end in Avengers and continue only if they want to, not something leading to another disaster, what i don't mind for a post credits is if it was just a joke like the one from pirates 2.
Maybe a joke with Fury telling Pym to clean the the destruction

Tho, it may go against the wishes of some here, I'd love to see Cap lift Mjolnir.

I think if Cap is going to lift Mjolnir in live-action it should be in an Avengers sequel, let the heroes get their individual shine with their OWN weapons in the first film.

For the second I would love for Cap to say that line and then Tony is like "Really? That's what we're saying now? That's our slogon? I'm just saying...was there a memo or something?"

The line is iconic, but for non-comic audiences, it could be pretty cheesy. Tony is the perfect character to say something about it.

Yeah, although I think Loki was pretty badass in Thor I still want him to be even more powerful in the Avengers.

I want to see him using alot more magical attacks in the Avengers since he was mostly fighting hand to hand in Thor.

2. He causes a power failure in Stark's arc reactor.
3. Struggled with this one, but somehow make Steve feel insignificant and useless?

In the end, have Cap tell Thor he is the only one who can stop Loki. That they can handle the rest, but Loki is beyond them.

So, basically, this is Thor 2, guest-starring the Avengers?
Or, Iron Man, Hulk, and Cap are just Thor's sidekicks...but when things really get tough, It's A Job For...Thor.

Loki being a badass and kicking some ass but keeping with the dymatics of the character that we saw in the Thor movie...

All of the other avengers confronting Loki even though they cant stand toe to toe with him but aleast try not leaving everything to Thor....and having some good dioluge between Loki and the avengers

Loki saying this to Iron Man " You dare threaten me man of science" and having toni saying something equally arrogant and cocky back to him... which in turn inrages Loki further lol

ok I know I am totally cheating .. making Thor realize in a good way that Mortals are very capable warriors and which in turn fuels his decision maybe in the thor sequel to defend his choice of earth over asgard prehaps at the end of thor 2

1) A good balance between action and story. I want an absolutely minblowing climax that will make Transformers 3 look like a student film, but I don't want it at the cost of clever dialogue and believable characterisation.

2) Everyone getting a decent amount of screentime, action and dialogue. And decent interactions between the whole team.

Alien invasion/impersonation but with Avengers sounds pretty sick to me. (but not like Bendis' writing...)

Thanos at some point. But not killed off or ruined. Maybe just a tease or something.
