He's left trapped in Asgard for the time being, I'm assuming that one of the arcs in this film will be about how he gets back.
It's funny, because I had always imagined that CA would be the one that would be 'retrieved' since as far as I'm aware of, it was the Avengers who thawed him out of being frozen in ice.
LOL, clever title.
Yeah, I think Whedon will have fun with Thor. He's practically dealt with the Thor situation already in the past - a former God living and adapting to contemporary Earth and fighting evil with the (mostly) mortal protagonists - on Angel, and that character was the source of plenty of comedy while still remaining a total bada**.I just hope he isn't underused like in the Ultimate Avengers animated films.
Whedon is great at comedy and there is already a naturally comical element with the overall brashness of Thor and the rather subdued personality of Tony, which with Whedon at the helm should be laugh out load funny.
I wonder, will Thor return back to Earth as theKing of Asgard this time? Since technically, he was about to be crowned at the beginning of his own film before things went to chaos, and he's most likely learned the lessons that his father had wanted him to, so it'd make sense for him to be crowned king by the time he returns in the Avengers.
Well, all I know is that I'm glad that I won't have to wait 2-3 years to see a 'partial' resolution to the events of Thor.
And hopefully, by the end of the Avengers, we'll be given a vague sense as to where Thor's next solo adventure will be heading towards.
In a way, Thor (alongside CA) will probably have one of the most emotional arcs going into this film.
When we last saw of him, he was left stranded in Asgard after having defeated Loki. Given that he had so desperately wanted to return to Earth to be reunited with Jane Foster, it'll be very interesting to see his reaction as to when he gets back and what holds him from seeing Jane for a little while longer (given that I doubt Natalie would be able to shoot a cameo in her current situation, let alone if Josh even wanted her character to be involved)
Then we have Loki, who we now know after having read or even seen the post credits scene of 'Thor', who will likely be causing trouble for all of Earth, which will probably lead to that 'greater threat' being unleashed that'll force the Avengers to assemble. One must wonder on what'll be going on in Thor's mind and emotions after finding out that not only is his brother still alive, but he's on the LAST place that he'd (Thor) would want him to be.
I wanna see Thor kick Hulk's ass, really.
if thor's movie does really well then marvel might go thor crazy. like how they are with iron man right now. so we might get to see thor kick hulk's ass if his movie does great, if that makes sense.
