The Avengers 3 Things you WORRY about happenining in the Avengers...

scale wise, it was quite small.

a small linear encounter on a street and then a rooftop battle.

it should be central park scale in the avengers with chaos everywhere.

it should be no less than the scale in dark side of the moon. I have to give props to bay because that was the best city wide threat and battle i've seen in a film for a long long time.

and to be fair, the scale up from transformers one to three should be the type of thing we see in the other films to the avengers.

remember the threat has to be legitimately worldwide threatening and require all their joint talents to oppose.

set pieces, (not necessarily the final one but at least one of them) has to be pretty damn big.

I agree that for the Avengers, the final battle should be on a much bigger scale, but that's not what you said originally.

You stated that no Marvel film yet had a good final battle. And while the scale may not have been big, the battle was much longer between the Hulk & Blonksy than in any of these other films, and it was also quite brutal, and satisfying IMO.

I can't imagine any scenario where the Avengers won't have to deal with the Hulk in a physical confrontation, it's been that way in almost any iteration of the team, so I feel like if they can pull that off, then they most certainly should be able to have a grand showdown for a climax. For a movie like this, I'd say it's required

yeah, it was a pretty big set. it probably cost them more to take it apart nicely than to blow the whole lot up in a fight as well.

considering how big a hitter thor his, his biggest feat in his film was flipping over a table

ooooh, he spilt the lettuce, frost giants beware...

I KNEW Thor wasn't going to have any major feats of strength in the film from the moment a Thor film was announced (they always prefer showcasing Mjolnir).

Yeah, that's true. I just wanted to see something more like this:

I agree, I had some very high hopes for that fight.

I'm kind of worrying the whole arc of the avengers film series will take after Ultimates, and leave out Kang.

Ultimates 1 and 2 could make some awesome movies but i doubt they'll ever use the Liberators since the team worked differently in ultimates.
I think that the aliens, the team assembling and Loki deceiving are good thing that could work well with the film series but maybe they should have used Thanos instead of the aliens

I'm fine with Ultimates 1 (or a version where the characters aren't *****), I just don't want Ultimates 2 and 3 to spoil the 616 feel...I want classic stories on the big screen.

I'm a 616 man myself, and so far this film is shaping up to be mostly 616-ish (just like the rest of the Marvel Studios films).
