The Avengers Hulk Vs Thor - The Movie Edition

Except for the fact that Thor didn't give a bad performance in the least and no one technically "won" it's all opinion.

Besides, it's pretty reasonable to assume that Thor was holding back power-size simply because he was in the helicarrier. That's why he didn't summon lighting, tornadoes, or strike the ground like he did in Jotunheim, it's common sense really.

Loki and Thor aren't immortal in the comics either, so does that make them
demi-gods" there too?

Fury also referred to Thor as a "god" and I'm pretty sure he's alot more informed than Stark who was just being flippant.

Im done trying to argue with this guy. Clearly there was no winner. Even though thor landed more blows and showed more fighting skill.. Apparently it was a poor showing. And we ade the ones making excuses? He's just...im not even Gunna say it. I'm actually starting to think that this guy is trolling

Yeah no matter what we say he's going to continue to believe there was a winner no matter how many points we bring up against it.

So at this point it's starting to get redundant, because we're all going to continue to have our own opinions on the fight.

Just becaue my view point doesn't line up with yours, doesn't mean i'm trolling. It's just that. It doesn't line up with yours. It's that simple.

You and BigThor seem to think that 'Thor is more powerful' is some sort of religion, and that anyone that doesn't convert to that religion must be a blasphemer. Get over it. It's my opinion. I don't care if you don't think Hulk won the fight, i was just stating why i think he did...get over it...i'm not converting.

The thing of it is: Stan Lee actually created Thor to be superior to any superhero he had created at Marvel up to that time, including the Hulk. When Stan was at Marvel, at best, the Hulk was equal to Thor in strength. It wasn't until recent decades that the notion that Hulk was actually stronger than Thor took root and now predominates the thinking of most people.

In terms of how these two will be portrayed in a movie together? It Thor even demonstrated he was equal to Thor in strength, it would make the Hulk irrelevant.

And obviously, Hulk was a crowd favorite in the Avengers movie.

QFT

Honestly there would be no point in Hulk being around if Thor was just as strong.

I just said you were trolling cause you were stating yours as facts. You were making it sound like it was a fact, and you ignored some of our posts.

Its a big board, so whatever.

Trolling was probably the wrong word haha.

But this is going no where, its like an argument in my house haha

As pertaining to the Avengers movie SHIELD was only interested in Bruce Banner's scientific knowledge concerning Gamma radiation to find the Tesseract. While they were prepared for an encounter with the Hulk, Thor was not seeing as how he was only sent there to retrieve Loki and the Tesseract. I think you can agree any debate about a winner is pretty redundant since all Thor was trying to accomplish was to prevent Hulk from doing anymore damage than he already had.

Yep, which is why I say things like "it was evenly matched" and "nobody won".

I think its obvious that wasn't completely true. Everything Romanov told Bruce was riddled with lies and he knew it.

I don't think thats completely true either but its a point thats already been covered and its just something thats going to go round and round and round forever. Amazed this topic is still going.

It's the never ending argumenttttttt, ohhhhhhhhhhhhh

The Never Ending Story theme song

Just to change things up a little, did you know the actor who played the original live action Thor from The Incredible Hulk Returns now plays the father on "Good Luck Charlie?"

Ohhhhh I did not know that was the guy who played Thor.

He has less hair now. :woot:

He was also Little John in Robin Hood: Men In Tights

That movie did some serious stuff to my head when I was younger. I refuse to watch it. The whole idea of a "never ending story" just kicked my head's ass when I was 8. I refuse to watch it again haha

How come Thor had to struggle with loki wich he clearly did while hulk dominated him ?

Thor and Loki grew up together, it's normal for Loki to know Thor's moves.

Loki didn't anticipate's Hulk's surprise attack.

How come Thor had to struggle with loki wich he clearly did while hulk dominated him ?

1. Loki had his staff when he fought Thor

2. Thor is Loki's brother so obviously he didn't go all out.

3. Loki and Thor engaged each other in a "fair fight" while Hulk grabbed by suprise Loki in the middle of his speech.

^ Those factors were so obvious that shouldn't even have to be explained, unless you're just trolling.

You love the whole, 'he was holding back' excuse, don't you?:oldrazz:

The obvious explaination is the one jyd_me gave in that since they grew up together, they knew each others moves like clock work, hences Loki's comment "Are you ever not going to fall for that" on the helicarrier'.

Please, at least come up with an original excuse to justify a characters under whelming performance. :yay:

I thought it was pretty clear since the fight got horribly one-sided once Thor got serious, I mean honestly it common knowledge that Thor always holds back against Loki. I also listed 2 other reasons, but I didn't expect you to do anything other than find something to disagree with (like always).

Fact #1 - Thor couldn't use the full extent of his power without damaging the helicarrier, you haven't provided an argument against this yet.

Fact #2- Thor always holds back against Loki due to emotional ties as is the case with most brothers.

You're confusing "excuses" with actual reasons and one's that you can't seem to counter at that, you're bad. :o

Maybe we should rename this thread:

BigThor Vs Golgo-13http://forums.superherohype.com/member.php?u=10629: The SHH Board Edition

lol

It's not much of a "versus" since he's ignoring all of my points and nitpicking bits and pieces since he can't seem to counter my stance.
