Hell 80% of 300 was on the net before the movie came out...still it was better than SM3...All that money and nothing to show for it. This is why quality is always better than quantity.

i agree i liked 300 better than SM3...it stayed more true to the comic, the soundtrack was better, the action was more intense, overrall still he best movie i seen this year

300 was an experience and three times better than SM 3.

300 was one of the best comic book movies ever.

I loved them and enjoyed them both so...this is really unnecessary,2 completely different movies and 2 movies i will be watching for years to come.

i definately enjoyed 300 more than SM3, best movie ive seen in theaters for a while.

Oh its EASILY the best comic book movie.....and one of my favorite movies of all time. Its definitely one of those classics you could watch for years to come (like Braveheart or LOTR). That being said, I liked SM3 quite a bit. I think its 2nd all time behind 300 in comic book movies...but I know there's a lot of people who would disagree with me lol. Oh well.

I respectfully disagree.

300 is a vapid souless movie, imo. Now SM3 isn't anything that great but at least it had some depth of cahracter and heart. 300 to me is what George Lucas wanted his Star Wars prequels to be, massively epic CGI that succeeds in style over substance.

I'll take Sin City or V for Vendetta or History of Violence or Road to Perdition or...you get the idea over 300. Sorry iI came here for the dVD thread and noticed this. I'm still surprised how popular this movie is. It is entertaining but an empty shell of a film.

I'll put it this way, Hot Fuzz and Black Snake Moan are still easily the best movies of 2007 thus far, for me that is.

I understand why someone would dislike 300, but I'm in the boat of people who loved it. I agree, the characterization is not one of its strong points, but it's as good as it needs to be, because it's one of those rare films where the visuals are so exciting that they almost completely carry it. 9/10.

I'd give Sin City a 10/10, simply because the characters are extremely interesting.

Well, I seen 300 opening day without any doubts. I still will wait to see SM3 on DVD after being "warned" by various deeply dissapointed people.

So, I'll agree, 300 is better than Peter Parker: Disco Dancing Goth/Emo/whatever you wanna call it...

I haven't sen 300 since opening day and I still get some excitement from thinking of the experience . SM3 anytime I think of anything but disappointment.

300 experience was better than SM3 and has been the best film I've seen all year. POTC: AWE also ranks one of the better films of the year for me.

I dont think anything could b worse than SM3

I find this statement ridiculous. I can probably think of at least 100 movies that I have seen that are far worse than Spider-Man 3. And I didn't even think Spider-Man 3 was bad at all.

Well, it's a matter of opinion really.

Yeah I know it's an opinion, but come on. The action alone in Spider-Man 3 makes it a better film than a lot of them.

I completely agree. 300 was an action movie done right on every level. Spiderman 3 was too over the top and tried to hard to get the comedic elements of the movie done over the action. Now, seeing Peter Parker turn emo was fun and all, but I want more action. 300 was not so at all.

In conclusion:

300 >>>>> SM3

When i went to see 300 I couldnt really get my hopes up because i didnt know what to expect from this film. Unlike Spider-Man 3 is was expecting it to be the best movie of the year but i was hugely dissapointed with 300 being better than that piece of ****. Batman Begins is still my favorite comicbook movie...

I BELIEVE IN HEATH LEDGER

Except extemly high profits. Higher than 300.

How much more action could you need? Seriously.
