Who would rather watch the 90's cartoon rather than SM3

But that is a complaint that is consistent with all the films, highlighting it now is kinda pointless, this is something i've been saying since i joined the hype four years ago.

However it doesnt change the fact that the symbiote peter in the movie is consistent with his portrayal throughout the movie franchise.

I'd honestly take Peter's dance skills over this any day.

Definitely the 90's cartoon.

Symbiote Spidey is more serious and intimidating, and Brock's presence is actually felt in the story, unlike in SM-3, where he's merely an after thought. Plus, Venom is a much scarier threat.

Plus the cartoon's Dark Peter pwns SM-3's Emo Peter, who felt like a rip off of Smallville's Clark Kent on Red Kryptonite.

this similarity is basically like comparing the cartoons to the comics...

'This' particularly symbiote story shown in the cartoon can be taken to be the original source material and the film adapted it to its own universe. Similar to the way Ultimate spidey also adapted it to its own universe

now there are very few instaces where adaptations of anything are preferred to or bettered than the source material because we have nothing else to really judge against.


look at it this way. I think that the armed and dangerous cartoon with the introduction of doc ock is better than spiderman 2. saying this, i think that asm 3 with the introduction of ock is better than armed and dangerous

what does this prove? Original content will always be superior to newer adaptations

our only perception of how the symbiote affects peter is shown in 2 episodes of cartoon and this is all we have to judge the 'true' effects of pete coming dark (which is funny because the venom symbiote had no effect on pete's psyche when he had it on originally).

I'm not saying i'm immune to this phenomenon, however i do think that when you first experience something, your expectation of that thing is based solely on that experience and usually isn't surpassed.

for instance, if the third installment came out before the 90s cartoon alien saga story, the majority of us would be bashing it saying peter's emotions weren't affected 'properly' as shown in spidey 3 etc...

Although I like SM3 in parts, I much prefer the The Venom Saga animated episodes in regards to how the Symbiote story was handled.
