I will do a longer review in the morning, but solid conclusion. Still somewhat torn on getting Scotty so soon, but he will be fun with Pelia. I do wonder if the new opening signals going to more traditional TOS enemies.

Overall, solid premiere. I do understand that they kind of had to keep the Gorn monsterous in order keep Arena relevant, but would have liked to see a bit more, like the one Gorn trying to access the Cayuga's systems in Part 1. Not a huge fan of the whole solar flare influence, I do like that the home system shots reminded me of Gorn eyes, that was a fun touch. And I do love the processing of people for food.

I do get the feeling that the CG budget may have been hit, which I will take if it means I get more Trek.
