If Bruce Campbell truly will make a cameo apperance as Quentin Beck it will only be for mere comic relief humor in the film. I think Spider-Man 3 will be the most dramatic film inthis franchise to date. Even though Quentin Beck will most likely not don the round transparent fish bowl he could possible appear commiting villanious acts against Spider-Man in the movie.

well from some sources that I see fit not to reveal here that it will be most likely Dr Curt Conners in the form of the Lizard as lots of initial CG work and mo-cap was done for the Lizard for Spider-man 2 before that was scrapped... they're apparantly picking it all back up, refining it and he'll feature more towards the end

Connors finds that the alien venom suit has not only symbiotic and strength giving powers but also regenerative and partial repair and healing, using a small sample of part of the symbiote he finds, he runs an experiment and ends up ruining his entire human form and becomes the Lizard

The Lizard is NOT as big apparantly as he is in the comics, he's much more Ray Parker Toad like and thin and wirey and is extreemely agile and will feature in the end battle but has much more importance in the 4th film.

I have no problem with a Lizard subplot setting him up for the next film, but if he's actually involved in that last battle, it'll be ridiculous. Spidey vs Sandman, GG, Venom and the Lizard? Give me a break. That would take away all the significance from Venom's appearance (which should be huge and take most of the focus), and would be cheesy as all hell.

^When you say Ray Parker Toad like,does that mean half of a Lizard transformation,or will we see a full Lizard head/tail?

I hope Bruce Campbell is Quentin Beck in this movie. But if he is Quentin, he cannot be called a "villain". He can only be called a civillian. Although like someone said over at FilmIck, "if the new helmer of the Spidey franchise (that's if Raimi leaves after 3) puts in Mysterio as a villain and they don't cast Bruce Campbell as him, there will be hell to pay." And YES THERE WILL! I will kill!

I like the idea of Bruce playing the wrestling announcer (SM1) and the snooty usher (SM2) and both of them turn out to be noneother than Quentin Beck himself!

But where the HELL is Peter going to run into Quentin at in this film?!

I don't remember the issue number, but it was during the "Hollywood" story arc.

All I know is, whoever the blasted 4th villain is, he better not be involved in the main story. And he d@mn well better not be involved in the final fight.

Hopefully it will either be a subplot setting up for 4, or a short opening scene.

Surprise Doc Ock comes back kills Captain Stacy! It makes sense, Surprise villian, no one saw it coming because everybody's talking about other villians, You people forgot, and you saw the debris falling in the trailer with spidey with his original suit on. I think it makes sense. I will be a shocker, but I don't think raimi should tell anybody. Just say you have a surprise forth villian, Don't reveal it at comic-con, it does not need that much publicity it spider-man, leave some surprises. Doc Ock for 4th villian. It would be shocking, but also accurate if they use him to battle spider-man and accidently kill Captain Stacey.
