Good. I hope he isn't.

He doesn't have to.theShape said:that's not even a good enough reason for him to not be in the movie. the main reason is that HE DOESN'T FIT WITH THIS STORY AT ALL. and if anyone can explain logically how he does, then we'll talk.

theShape said:oh...so he can just stroll on screen and do what wants and completely interfere with the story and characters?
no. he needs a purpose. and he doesn't have one.

no. it could be used in an epilogue scene. or, for another example, it could be used as foreshadowing/cool factor. the villain doesn't have to interact with any of the characters. i think it was in another thread i said that it would be cool to see Kraven stepping off a boat/plane and into New York. or poster bills in the background advertising Kraven would be another example. or it could be like Beast/Hank McCoy in X-2; a tv appearance as background feature. or Peter leaves Dr. Connors' lab and shortly just before Connors transforms... there are a number of ways that a character can be introduced without having an integral role in the story.theShape said:oh...so he can just stroll on screen and do what wants and completely interfere with the story and characters?

Mysterio said:being a cameo does not automatically reduce a character to "not a villain". you could say that Colossus had a cameo role in X-2; it was one scene, and it was a brief appearance, but the character was still in the film.
"t doesn't make any sense, and somthing like that will not be in this film, seeing as it hasn't been in SM1 or 2."
i'm just giving you an idea as to how a character could be introduced. think a little bigger.
kooguy911 said:i only expect the 4th villian (mysterio acording to this) to be a cameo. It would be cheesy if he was like controlling sandman or something. That plot is ok for a cartoon or comic, but i dont think its good for a film.
btw, what ever happened to that "shocker" conformation? Man-Wolf? Chameleon?
Funny how we get "conformation" of a different villian like every couple weeks. I dont care how many russian sites have conformation, im not believing anything about this 4th villian unless sam raimi himself says who the villian is. Maybe thats some advice to you guys who believe this. This could be true, but so could the other 3 "conformations".
Cinemaman said:And he is... Mysterio (Bruce Campbell), ladies and gentelments!
It hasn't been confirmed yet, but it is the truth.
And also, Raimi is going to confirm that Spidey 3 is the last part.

Do you consider Stan Lee's previous Spider-Man roles to be more than cameos, since he also saved a girl in both.CrypticOne said:If your ideas were crackers, my daughter would be fat.
LOL. Just kiddin' ya'. But Colossus was a hero in that scene. He saved a girl. To me, that was more than a cameo.
Vile said:I remember those shots of MJ on broadway or something, descending some stairs?
In that sequence, I could see Mysterio showing up to maybe rob the place or something and Spidey kicking his ass in a 4-5 minute sequence. He un-bowls him and blam! It's the snooty usher and ring announcer! Audience chuckles and the movie goes on.
Thats the only way I could see Mystie showing up in Spidey 3.
hitpehoaos said:yeh i agree mysterio is too lame to be a major character on film. I think the fish bowl on his head will discredit him as a major baddy
