Looks like Harry could be two of the villains in this movie.When Harry first fights spidey he is GG2,then at the battle royale he is Hobgoblin.

That doesn't make sense to me.

If Raimi as already had the Lizard 3-D model made for S-M2,and if S-M3 is the last movie for him,then would he make the Lizard the fourth villain,because he really wanted him in S-M2.

I just don't see Raimi walking away from this franchise without giving us the Lizard in this movie,or in S-M4.

I was reading in the newspaper today that it is a large possibility that Spidey 3 will be the last - The Atlanta Journal Constitution for those who want to check out the article. It had Maguire himself saying that there (paraphrasing) "may not be anymore interesting stories to tell" - if the Spidey franchise DOES end on a trilogy, I can't see why bringing in the Lizard for a 4th villain makes ANY SENSE.

Mysterio as a cameo villain can work - having Connors transform and all that entails doesnt, especially with the amount of **** Raimi has already piled into this movie.

If it's future is uncertain, I bet the 4th villain will be someone along the lines of Mysterio, Shocker, Electro - a 2-bit villain who can walk in, say a line and get his ass handed to him all so the fanboys can cream their pants.

Cambell has been confirmed that he won't be playing mysterio, so this Russian website is either wrong, or made up. 3 might be Tobey's last, but I can see Marvel doing atleast one more if 3 is successful.

I don't know where you're getting this idea that Raimi wants the Lizard so badly, aside from the models made for SM2.

But even if he DID want him in one of the movies, he wouldn't do it if it didn't fit the story. And in this case, it doesn't. So thank God there's no Lizard in SM3.

Well, there's not too much in SM3. All the villains and characters serve a purpose in telling the story, and will work well, though it may seem like too much right now. They are necessary, while The Lizard is certainly not.
