I don't buy that. Clark would have saved Lex regardless of what Lionel said. True there may be an added bonus but he's never just left someone in danger.

True, but its worth noting and considering what Clark's done to her I dont blame Lana for any accusation she throws at him.

I cant really make a judgement on Hartley because his scenes were short and to the point. But to me, so far anyways, it seemed that his acting was supposed to seem like acting in front of Lionel Luthor.

Oh and I think he said "Barcelona" or some weird country name at the end before he shot his arrow, I think the point of the scene was to show his acuracy with an arrow.

True, but I mean, give me a break. Clark has secrets..ok.. The dude has saved her life a million times. She knows something is up but just wants to be..........dare I say it............a b1tch to Clark. They're relationship is over and she needs to get over it.

Your complaining about Lois enjoying journalism now? Heck, I'm still waiting for Clark to don the glasses.

Episode was a bridge to take us from Zod etc to GA arc with superbreath thrown in as a bone since its one of two remaining powers. Do agree that repartee between Lois and Clark and Chloe was nice. Didn't find it to be a great episode, but certainly served its purpose without a FOW -if you don't count Ollie <j/k> -. Honestly feel Lana thing has jumped the shark. If she disappeared for a while like she did in Superman for All Seasons, I can't say I'd be upset. Then she could reappear at the end of the series to tie up loose ends. But I digress. I give the episode a C+. Still and on whole, consider it better than certain specialty pizza baked this past summer. Just my opinion. Nothing more.

I loved Lionel's line to Oliver about how if he messed with Lex 'suffer' would take on a whole new meaning to him.

Okay...what was so wrong with Hartley?
His acting. Maybe it's just new show-idis. I dunno. Lets see how he does next week.

Oh and...hate what?
Lana. Sorry. I may just pull a Hari Kari (sp?) the next time the "you can't keep secrets" BS comes out again. Today it was even worse though, cause she had all this information, knew Clark wanted to help - even though he had other motivations - yet STILL wouldn't tell him what she knew. Secrets indeed. And of course Clark is there to rescue their asses in the end, once again.

Know what? I take it back. I'm not gonna slit my wrists over this anymore. I'm just gonna laugh, cause that's what it needs at this point. Go Lana! You rock, babe! :p

Lois lane was written ubleiavable out of character [well her smallville character] . She suddenly "loves" journalism after less then an episode? she been seeing weird crap for 2 years, she saw a naked Clark kent standing in a corn field surrouded buy electricity. shes been in a plane crash, been kidnapped buy physchos, saw Kryptonian wreck havoc on smallville, and etc. Lois Lane in this episode was written so unbeleibly, Chloe and clark could not beleive it.

I would of prefered a slow build up until the latter half of the season, instead of what we got. everything else was well written, except for the fact Oliver Queen acts almost nothing like his comic book counter part.

Okay so Lois likes journalism now...accepted. Lets move on :D

I guess Lois considers that barn door almost hitting her a near death experience or something lol

Well I'll say this: the effects of this particular season's premiere look to have lasting effects on the season as whole. I really like the whole Dark Thursday thing, and I can see how this'll lead to GA and whatnot.

B-o-r-n-e-o, B-o-r-n-e-o, Borneo. He said, and the arrow landed in Borneo (north of the western half of Australia).

Not poking at you; regulars here know I travel internationally A LOT and I'm whatcha might call um, well, pretty good at geography having been to...places.... Anyhoo, he said Borneo and the arrow landed there which confirmed it. I guess that was just his way of showing he could hit whatever he aims at. OK, sorry for the geo lesson, but wanted to clear that up.

Man that was a cool scene. When He said Borneo. I was like "WTH, Does he have a super arrow or something. Hitting the Planet Globe was the icing on pretty good ep to me.

I stand by my theory that Lionel is slowly becoming the MB again. And I actually thought Hartley was pretty good. Oh but can anyone transcribe that last scene between Lex and Lana? I was on the phone and missed it.

MB? Magical Being?

Is there an increase of commercials this year ? I noticed it with Smallville but its getting silly with how long these are with Supernatural

That was particularly cute, especially since SV airs on Thursday nights. Obviously, not a coincidence.

As to the whole Lois thing, I didn't see it as being poorly written or OOC at all. The writers primed us for her eventual 180 WAY back in Solitude...

Lois: I don't know how you do it - chasing story after story that only leads to dead ends. I'd never be able to let go.
Chloe: That's usually how it starts.

Good Episode but to tell u the truth the story didnt evolve arown the titel of the episode. Clarks Superbreath was treated as a secondary story. It was cool but I would have like it better if the story was about only Superbreath and seeing Clark using it. I think the appearence of Oliver was nice but i dont see why he needs footsolders to do his work. It was kind of a let down on that part, why need footsolders when u can be the Green Arrow and beat the **** out of Lex for the info that u want.

Well if he and Lex have a past, face to face may not be the best way to get honest answers. Especially if they didn't end on good terms. Remember, he doesn't have the same style as Clark.

There's definitely an extra break, but I haven't timed to see if the show is still in the 40-42 minute range. Pulling in extra money for the new network I guess.

They've shortened the ads on the half hour (probably to lure in channel surfers when other nets are doing their station breaks) and doubled the ad time length at the 20 and 40 minute stops.

Ah, hadn't heard that before.
I believe it originated on MBTV. K-Site eventually latched onto it, and now it lives in infamy. ;)
