What the...? 21st is when I leave Manchester to return to f**kin' Greece! Where there is no iMAX!

some news sites today said that the prologue is 21 december. isnt it on december 16?

December 16 for selected theaters. Which probably means only real IMAX screens specifically for the TDKR prologue.

December 21 opens in all screens nationwide including IMAX except normal showings won't have the prologue.

I think that's the gist of it.

You guys may get it earlier seeing as it says the 14th for France. I'm assuming it'd be the same for England as well. I would hope so.

Do you know when? And you're talking about that cinema next to Arndale ,right?

*SIGH*

Looks like I won't be seeing it. Oh well. At least the trailer will keep me satisfied.

yeah, it's the printworks, just up from arndale... and i don't know when specifically, i've made the assumption that it's attached to all the showings in the imax. i hope im not wrong!!

LooN

in fact, if you go through the booking process you can see when all the showings are, and the first advance showing is 12:15pm on the 21st december.

Dammit, I'm flying the very same morning. Thank you for the info, though. Appreciate it!

I contacted Cineplex on whether the Scotiabank Theater (in Toronto, Canada) will have the prologue. Their answer: they currently don't have the info for this, and they will know more about what trailers will be played prior the film during the week of its release date.

I wanna know now.

over 50% peple will have a smartphone when watching the prologue. smartphones have highresolution cameras. modern cameras in general are able to take pictures and videos in HD. for example a canon. they are as small as phones.

the prologue will leak and you will watch it.

I've been out of the loop for a while. I just wanted to know if this was debunked or not.

Thanks!

Well we've heard right from the horses mouth the prologue features Bane's backstory and that the story picks up 8 years in the future. Any "descriptions" with contrary info I would deem fake at this point.

I'm actually disappointed. I was expecting at least one or two fake Bane prologues to pop out since Nolan's interview yesterday came out. I guess they were busy making that Ellen Page/Batgirl trailer manip. :oldrazz:

And now all the fake descriptions featuring Bane's backstory begin.

I bet all the fakesters are now cooking up descriptions now that accustoms themselves to those two bits of info we now have. :D

Actually, according to Empire Article, Nolan states this:

The Prologue is basically the first six, seven minutes of the film. Its the introduction to Bane and a taste of the rest of the film.

Just because the film introduces us to the character doesn't necessarily make it the same as the backstory of the character. Let's not forget that Nolan has a tendency to play around with time in his films, not to mention how much more of an effective introduction to Bane would it be if
we already see him as Bane and defeating Batman like the supposed description of the prologue states?
. Let's also not forget that the description about the prologue that was leaked came out before it was confirmed that The Dark Knight Rises would be taking place eight years later, and certainly, based on the supposed details of that prologue, it definitely puts it in a much better light and context now. Granted, it's possible that the supposed leak of the prologue is fake and that there's been hints about Bane's backstory being in the film, but it's also entirely possible that the supposed description of the prologue could happen first and then we get Bane's backstory.

Looks like the Imax at the Franklin Institute will be showing M:I. Which means it's very likely that they will have the prologue! :woot:

Anyone know if London IMAX (Waterloo) will be showing the prologue? They're showing MI4 from 21 Dec

Wait, I thought the prologue was only showing at the advanced start date - Dec 16th-20th. Is that right?

No, Nolan didn't say that the prologue shows Bane's backstory, but it serves as an introduction to Bane. Bane can be introduced before flashing back to his origins.
