7 new Spider-Man 3 clips

karea,

I'm actually being sarcastic. Kirsten fine. She looks really, really good in this film, from stills and such. She's actually really brilliant in Marie Antoinette, one of her best acting performances in her character.

I'm just ragging on her for kicks...although, she did look a tad on the rough side in Spider-Man 2.

ah ok  i was just confused with all the hatred, i was thinkin damn this man really dont like her. glad you do though

firstly, enough with the dunst bashing crap, I mean really, who cares?
IMO she's not particularly amazing, but at the same time....who could be with that character? I dont see her as a weak link or anything. And she certainly isnt ugly.

secondly...those clips were awesome. Truly epic. All of those action scenes "felt" more like a spider-man movie than any other. I think theyve finally got to grips with the spider-man side of things...just that scene of stealthy spidey was fantastic, and the crane scene was totally amazing.

My advice IS too spoil yourselves; im pretty sure these clips are just that clips. theyre only 15 seconds long pretty much....

There are several. Some of the swings when he's going to meet Ock at the clock tower, The shot of Spidey swinging away from the bank fight (Remember the wallpaper of Spidey swinging with his legs spread?) And a close-up of Spidey (possibly when he's swinging after taking the pics of MJ at the planetarium).

But let's be clear- despite re-using these shots, the crane scene looks great; as do all the action scenes.

They didn't re-use any of the shots you are referring to.

Clearly some of the manuevers and body positions are similar, but those are entirely new CG shots. I don't get it.

karea,

Nah, I'm cool with some of the things she's done (Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Interview with the Vampire, crazy/beautiful).

She has had her rough spots in these Spider-Man films but on the whole, she's been good. Hopefully, she'll have more to chew on in this film.

I think that's basically what he means. They're not literally shots from SM2, the swinging positions themselves are just very similar in parts.

When I say re-use the shots I don't mean THE ACTUAL SHOTS. I mean the Spidey animations- they placed the CG Spidey using those maneuvers against the new location. When you work in CG you have a virtual camera which you can move to any angle you desire- so it's simple enough to take an old animation and make it appear different. But the movements are clearly the same.

I wont watch these clips!!! Everytime we get close to a huge movie like this, the net is swormed with clips and stuff!!! This time I wont fall in the trap! NO MORE!!! This is to be seen in the theater and nowhere else!

Its funny that some poster say they don't want to watch the clips in fear of being spoiled and yet there are posting at the Spiderman spoiler forum.

Anyways, the clip with the crane was just awesome. Plus it featured the beautiful Gwen Stacy.

I also keep watching the Bell Tower and Subway clip over and over again. Its awesome watching Topher turning to Venom and the fight between Sandman and Spiderman. Can't wait till May 4 to watch the whole movie. From these clips, I think Spiderman 3 will be better than 1 and 2.

Okay, I just got through watching the new Peter/Goblin clip.

And I have to say, if they keep that shot of the two punching each other after Harry snags Pete, I am going to be fairly pissed off. That exchange (with VERY evident CG) looks god awful when compared to the initial clip of Harry slashing Pete across the stomach and trying to smother him.

Please please please tell me they cut that out. There was no bloody reason to change the shot.

Ok,...I've watched them all...and that'll be all until May 1st or 2nd, or whenever we get the reels in... :D

By then I think most of this stuff will be out of my memory... :D

Watch the Goblin-Peter fight...when Goblin cuts his line...he has the rip in his shirt and when he is upside down talking to Harry...he has a cut in his shirt and half his tie. But when Harry hits him into the wall...he has no rip and all his tie. How can he have a full tie on his bike...then go to no tie...get knocked into the wall and have all tie and then back to none when Goblin pulls down the wall. They better fix this.

I hope they scrapped that crappy CG scuffle with Harry and Peter... the initial version was much better

C´mon guys, this talk about CGI got old already, Spidey moves in ways that are impossible for any human being - the g-forces alone would rip his arms right out of the socket - so Spidey is NEVER gonna look entirely photorealistic, regardless of technological advances, plus with the costume and padding he tends to have a certain doll-like look anyway, but at the same time he looks like he´s right out of the comics. he doesn´t look any more "rubbery" or "weightless" than the full CG Superman in SR Returns or KK in several shots.

The crane scene alone is one of the most amazingly complex and elaborate FX scenes I ever seen, and yet people just play the same CGI broken record again and again...
THANK YOU!!!!!

Although these clips have shown us a series of shots that we haven't seen before in the other spots and trailers, I'm inclined to believe that there could be a few additional shots that we won't be able to see until the final film..

Thank you. And it also showed Harry having the upperhand, which worked better with the tone of the scene. A terrible TERRIBLE choice if they keep it like it is in this clip.

Awesome clips. Subway, crane, and bell tower ones owned, and Bryce was great in her scenes.

The guy is right they did re use the CG spiderman animation, and thats not new it saves them time and money.

That had better not be the whole Harry-Peter fight because Peter's tie and shirt are fine then ripped then fine again and Harry doesn't slash him. I would never notice it had I not seen the 7 minute clip but I do hope they fix it and add all of the 7 minute fight to keep it consistent.

Anybody listen to the music in the bell tower scene? It's like a very dark version of the Spider-Man theme. Just like I wanted. :hyper:

I wouldn't worry about the CGI in these clips...Just take them for what they are and focus on the quality in the finished product.

I've tried telling people that the effects that we're seeing in these clips can be several weeks old, maybe even older. This should be taken into serious account as post production was only recently wrapped up. Personally, I've never seen an online movie clip that had effects in it that looked exactly as it did in the final film...These include clips of POTC2, Spidey2, F4, X2, X3, and other movies with a lot of CG and online clips..

I just watched it and noticed that as well. Why would they change that?
