Iron Man Jeff Bridges is Obadiah Stane

Stane gave a little background when he used it on Tony (I think). The device caused temporary paralysis for 15 minutes. It was a prototype intended for use by law enforcement.

I am hoping he did survive, just for the sake of it be revealed later on that he was the one pulling the strings to everything going wrong in tonys life that lead to his alcoholism problems, like they did in the comics. Not to mention I would really like to see his suicide done on film, the way it happened in the comics.

I would like to see him slip away once using his contact in the middle east, going into hiding founding a new company that challenges starks company. Then the second time around after stark beats him there is no way for him to escape from shield they are closing in and he uses his own repulsor on his head.

That story is almost too good to believe after the events of the first film. It's probably just better to keep him dead.t:

yeah I agree, I was reaching, but I always loved that story, you see his father put the 38 to his head then he follows suit with his repulsor.

Jeff Bridges was really good in IM, he convincingly went from someone who seemed like Tony's friend to the one who orchestrated the events that made Stark become Iron Man, he went from friendly to evil brilliantly, just wish we could have seen more of him as Iron Monger.

in the comic you see a flashback of obidah stanes father putting a 38 to his head about to commit suicide, and you see stane putting it together like he now understands why he did it, and then does the same with his repulsor.
