8 Year Old Boy Commits Suicide

That is not funny in the least. Suicide is a serious issue and one that should never be taken lightly. If you have truly been experimenting with suicide, I would strongly recommend that you seek help.

Shame FTW.

This further enforces my theory that the majority of the educators in America are WRONG and in it for the wrong reason.

I hate to say it but only a female teacher would do something like this. Maybe it's because I am a male but I always felt male teachers were better. Unfortunately, not many guys can teach kindergarteners and grade school students.

Perhaps, since there are more people in America now, each class should have two teachers - one male and one female. C'MON NOW, THAT MAKES SENSE!

This is terrible, terrible news. The kid not only lost his mother, but committed suicide when he still has a whole life ahead of him. Very sad...

how would you attempt to only 'kinda' hang yourself. I wouldnt think that anyone would go to hang themselves thinking it wouldnt result in death. Even at 8 when your wrapping a rope around your neck your gonna know what its going to do.

Hey I hung myself at that age. It's just something to do. It's not like I was really suicidal. For the record the "nouse" broke.

At 8 I didn't even know you could kill yourself with a rope. Truely tragic. :(

It means your gonna get flamed.
Alot.
5 posts in and you have already proved yourself to be a sexist pig who takes the notion of suicide much too lightly.

Welcome to the Hype!

Flamed?

I take it the people here are thin skinned?

There should be an oath when people sign up to these boards "I hearby accept the right to express my veiws, whether they be intelligent and well-written or stupid and inflamatory, and I am aware I will be shamelessly insulted for any view I propose."

There are a lot of people here. Throw #$%&, and it comes right back.

I feel for the father. I mean, your wife and father (in-law?) die, then your son dies. And all the while, you think, "Was i too caught up my grief to see his? Could I have prevented this?" You would blame yourself for his death forever. But seriously, who thinks about 8-year-olds having serious depression and being suicidal?

I hope there were no siblings, because they are in serious danger of following the same path.
