9/11 Remembrance and Thoughts

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones in 9/11...

Might be a good day to watch "Flight 93"...just to remember the courage of those in the plane and the rescue people in the towers...

God Bless them, and America...

I saw it in history class that morning. School wasn't the same that day. I feel sorry for the families and the victims of that day.

I hate our fascist government for orchestrating such an event in a bizzare crusade for control over anything they can get their hands on. Thankfully, this Friday the Senate will release a document that proves there was no Saddam/al-Quieda link and that Bush lied to the American people about his "war on terror." The "100 Year War." The war that "you're either with us, or you're against us. You're either good, or you're evil."

"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor." - PNAC document "Rebuilding America's Defenses" signed by Dick Cheney, among other Neo-Con's in September 2000

Jet fuel burns at 2,000 degrees, steel doesn't start to melt till reaching 3,000 degrees.

2 things:

1. United 93 was a horrible movie. They have no idea what went on.
2. Superman isn't real.

I hate Bush and his government as much as the next person, but I dunno about some of those facts..

The jet fuel and steel fact is real. It's science. And I'm not even kidding. That is why that part of the story is absolute crap. Not to mention they found close to nothing at the Shenksville "Crash site".

You "dunno about some of those facts"? So you're acknowledging they're facts yet you're unwilling to believe them?

I think what he is saying is that he doesn't believe they are facts.

Oddly enough, I did too. I don't agree with you on the holocaust thing, or the Florida Marlins, but if you agree that it's all bulls**t, then I would be obliged to agree with you.

I was in the dentist's office waiting room when the towers were hit. Naturally, everyone there was glued to the T.V. It was a bizarre day. I didn't really know what to do with myself when I got back to school, you know? One thing I hate about the outcome of all this was how all the togetherness and compassion turned to divisiveness, mistrust and even bigotry...and it appears that our government was a catalyst for that. Bush used this day of senseless death as a scapegoat and that really pisses me off. But enough politics, my heart still goes out to everyone who lost a friend or family member in the attacks. Nobody deserved this. We may have had it coming, but still, nobody in those towers and planes deserved to die that day.

.. Yeah, that's where I was going, but nevermind. Forget I said anything. I'm stupid.

If one can believe this, then why is it so hard to believe that he and his regime orchestrated it?

1. Your opinion, if you choose to believe the conspiracy theories fine...but leave it out of a rememberance thread...i suppose you hated World Trade Center too?

2. I realize this, it is supposed to be symbolic of the heroism of the men in the rescue crews, they weren't bulletproof, or invincible, but when it came down to it they showed more heroism than any fictional hero...

It's good that on a day of such tragedy there could be a little bit of joy in the world...something that can still give hope in the bleakest of moments.

What's the greater conspiracy?

1. Terrorists with box cutters from across the pond took over 4 planes and hit 75% of their targets with military precision with no intervention from our air defenses or ...

2. The government purposefully carried it out to fulfill their "new Pearl Harbor" in order to amp up military control throughout the world and domestically while making billions of dollars in the process?

The terrorists had nothing to gain, while our government had everything to gain.

Notice anything odd or OUT OF PLACE?

Whoa Whoa hang on...

I respect your right to discuss such things, and there are numerous threads about them, but lets just keep this one to what it's supposed to be, rememberance of the heroes and loved ones lost in 9/11...not who/waht did it...

I'm sorry i lead the discussion in that direction...lets just agree to just leave this a respectful rememberance thread...cool??

In the pursuit of the guilty you find out why those men and women died, effectively giving them remembrance and respect.

1. I am remembering in the rememberance thread, I am remembering how much bulls**t went on that day, and what has occured since.

2. They should've just showed the firefighters.

but again there are over a dozen "who really did it" threads...so bump one of them, and let this remain a controversy-free rememberance thread
