9/11 Remembrance and Thoughts

for a guy with Bill Hicks avatar you seem to have missed the point of farenheit.

Bill hicks wanted people to think for themselves. Michael moore is an extreme liberal. He's the kind of guy that brings up human rights for terrorist bombers. Bill wanted us all to step back look at the world and make our own choices. Michael moore used heresay and bull**** when there are plenty of things to attack bush on legitimately. Hicks used facts in his argument, he would let you know what he thought but leave the opinion forming up to people.

Remeber the line: You are free to do what we tell you.

That's moore's ****ing mantra only the we is an I in his case. I just hope the guy never get's into power.

Also the man wanted bush out but what he seems to fail to understand is that bush hasn't made a single decision since he became president. Attacking the man will not change anything, you have to attack the system. US presidents are like hydra heads. Every time you lop one off there's another one waiting to take it's place, and another, and another. If you want to bring about change you have to cut out the heart, the people telling bush what to say. The guy on the other end of the earpiece.

Ok i've finished my conspiracy nutter type rant

Where were you on 9-11? Where did you first hear about it? How was your initial reaction?

Did you think it was a movie?

I was still in bed. My wife woke me up when the first plane hit the tower. My first reaction was shock.

No, I didn't think it was a movie.

again, sorry, but you missed the point.
Bill Asked questions, loaded questions so that you would think for yourself, Bill often said things like
"Clinton and his adminsitration should be indicted for murder"
did he not?
the difference being Bill didn't make documentaries, if he had, he would've made vastly different movies to Moore granted.
My point is simple
Bill presented his view so that we would formulate ours.
seems like a very similar thing. but then that's just me.

the difference is that hicks was a mesianic figure that didn't want to be. Moore isn't and wants it more than a bacon double cheeseburger,,,which is saying something.

Hicks hated stupidity he wanted debate not people repeating his rhetoric parrot fasion which is ultimately what moore wants. Bill always wanted his fans to question him because he accepted that NO-ONE was infalible. Moore thinks his opinion is right and no-one should disagree

If I was to pick someone to compare bill hicks to today it would be chris morris.

it WAS your fault afterall:down:csad:

I was in Spanish class in middle school when we got the news. We were making bets later on how many attacks would be after it.

We were young, crazy and a bunch of a-holes:o:up:

Yeah I was in middle school too but we didn't start until 9:30 so the first attack had happened. I had gotten to school early so I didn't hear anything on the radio on the way. I remember I was just loitering with some friends when one of my buddies came up and told me a plane crashed into the World Trade Center a few minutes ago.
I thought it was some kind of joke :(

ok, we're not going to get anywhere on this.

you love Hicks, as I do. you Hate Moore, I don't.
when did hicks want to be questioned anyway?

"please don't debate me it's one of my true talents"

BTW I'm not comparing Moore to Hicks, I'm saying that for someone who liked Hicks who questioned everything, you condem someone who has been questioning everything as well, who didn't happen to die, who knows If Moore had died of Cancer in the early 1990's he might have become the Messianic figure that Hics is to this day.

and I would compare Hicks to David Cross. again that's just me.

To be honest, although it's a little more soft centred I think the people doing hicks's job today are john stweart and stephen colbert

nah, Cross is more in your face like Hicks was, and he has the religious bashing that Hicks also did, who knows though, for a while I thought Bill Maher but now, not so much.

blus I just blue myself is the natural successor to the "suck your own cock bit" :D

I was in school in Trinidad.1st period just started and the teachers had all disappeared. The upper school was running around and shouting without supervision but i was in Form 1 so i was just quiet.I remember my English teacher came in and told us about it and a boy in my class passed out because his mother was away on work in one of the towers.

i was the last person to wake up in my house, when my alarm went off, my brother yelled at me to turn on the tv, i usually turn on the tv to watch the news before i go to school anyways so i thought it was wierd he told me to turn on the tv. the first tower was already hit and i saw the second tower get hit and when they both went down. then i left for school where nobody was really listening in my accounting class

Hippy Fascist- He said United 93, NOT FAHRENHEIT 9-11.

I was watching the Today Show before I went to school and I saw the second plane hit. At school, all our teacher's were all crying and stuff, but all the students were confused. I had never even heard of the WTC. (I was in 8th grade, I think.)

I had the flu for a the last few days so I had been staying home from school that week, I remember video taping everything on CNN right from when it began to right after the last tower collapsed, I used up like 2 tapes.

I was at home, ill from school, and at first, when I saw a plane had hit the WTC tower on the news, I thought it had been some kind of tragic accident or something, then I saw the second plane hit, and I realised it was the act of terrorists. :(

Well due to the timezones I was on my way home from School. What I remeber is just coming home and my mum watching it and i was like oh my god really.

I was in my second year of college. I got out of my early class early. I went to my on campus apartment and turned on the tv. It was on my local news station when they reported it. I then switched on CNN and saw the North Tower in flames. About 5 minutes later I saw a plane by the side of the screen. It flew into the South Tower. I didn't have a class until 4 hours later that day so I watched everything happen live except for the collapse of tower 7.

Some of my relatives watched it in person because they live across the river in Jersey.

At home in Virginia Beach, VA. Woke up, turned on the TV and I first thought I was watching a movie. I left NYC 2 days prior to the attack.
