9/11 Remembrance and Thoughts

I was at home. Somebody called and was like "turn on the news NOW!" Then family started going crazy saying it was gonna be WWIII.

woke up,turned on the tv set just seconds before the first plane hit,,,I was like "wtf" am i watching..what movie is this?..then a few minutes later the second one hit....then i thought....terriosts

i was in science class.... somebody burst in and said "turn on the tv! the twin towers are gone!!"......

i didnt even know what the twin towers were....

I was at my classroom, science, first hour. On the intercom we had a moment of silence for the victims. People were called out of school like crazy, I didnt think it was that serious until 2 days later I noticed how bad it was

same EXACT thing as me:eek:...lol

Was getting ready for work, as I was coming downstairs my roommate said a plane hit the WTC, thought it was an accident. Watched the news about the first plane hitting, then saw the second hit and thought Holy ****!

It was working in Crystal City (Alexandria,Va) a few miles from the Pentagon on a construction site. I felt the building move and smelled something. We're not allowed to have radios on the jobs so most of the guys got phone calls from family telling them what happen. The co-worker that told me is known to be a liar,I didn't believe him.

When I looked out the window and saw the panic on the faces of the folks leaving the surrounding buildings I knew we were in trouble.:csad:

When we were finally let go 14th street bridge was closed down and that was the closet and quickest way home to DC.
I wondered around a bit in the Crystal City Undergorund stopping to watch on the news the planes slamming into the Trade Center.

My Dad called and told me to head south because they hadn't found the fourth plane. So I headed for a Hostel I stayed in on the Appalachain Trail in Bluemont,Va. There were cops at the entrance to verify my stay.

It was a beautiful day and such a lovely drive on such a tragic day. :csad:

I was at school first day of the new school year, I waited for my mum to pick me up, She was yelling "A PLANE JUST CRASHED INTO A BUILDING!" I didn't know what building and thought it was in London or somewhere in England (Since that's where we were). Then I saw the TV and felt a bad feeling.

Have you not met Outsiderzedge yet?

Strap yourself in for a long, sadistic, oddly sexual thrill ride.

I was at school and they sent us home w/o out giving us much detail. I promptly went to K-Mart to pick up Jay-Z's "Blueprint". It was hell getting in as everybody was running out; I had to idea what all the panic was for. Not even like I like near NY, I'm in Delaware.

I was on a bus to school when I heard on the radio that a plane hit the WTC. As soon as I got to school I went to class and saw it on TV.

I remember jerks cheering when the planes hit the tower, like it was an awesome action movie.

Well I was actually working at K-Mart during 2001, and I remember co-workers who were working that morning telling me that when the first plane hit, alot of people left in a hurry. Not that the K-Mart I worked at ever really had alot of traffic, but this is in LA. So go figure.

I must have been the last person to figure out it was a terrorist attack. I just though the first plane was due to horrible piloting skills and I didn't find out about the 2nd plane till later...and I still didn't think "terrorism"

I'm dumb :(

I was just waking up when I heard my little sister saying somthing about some terrorist attack I didn't realy think much ofg it until I sawon the TV where it was hapening. just three weeks earlier, my two sisters and I were going through those buildings daily during our holiday, it was our first trip to NY. :(

I was watching the news that day, and suddenly it said "Breaking News" I was shocked, I was glued to the screen for hours. I can still remember the day like it was yesterday.

Jeez.

I still remember all of the CNN reporters reaction when the first tower collapsed you could hear everyone in the news room gasp and cry out in terror, and she was like "Oh...god." It was chilling.

I wake up every morning and watch Sportscenter. On 9/11 I turned on my TV and was like, "WTF is dan rather doing on ESPN?!" then I started to listening and he was just talking but I wansn't listening or watching, just getting ready for school. But when I did started watching my TV and all I saw was the WTC on fire.

I thought it was a movie. :(

I was in spain and my grandpa said that there was a plane crash in the towers. So we ran to the Vel Comeros (its a bar) and I got some pop and my grandpa got a beer and we watched the news on the Tv.

I was at school in my second class of the day. I remember the principle making the announcement that the Trade towers had been hit, and I had no idea how serious it turned out to be. My dad (who incidentally was at the Department of Defense that day, as he works there) came and picked both me and my sister up.

Then when I got home, and turned on my TV, the first image was of the second plane hitting the towers. And then I realized how serious that whole day was.

I got up that day unusually early that morning and was surfing around the TV when I saw that there was a clip of the Twin Towers on what usually would have been the broadcast of the WB's early morning news (back when they had it, don't know if they've continued it). From there I went to FOX just to confirm this wasn't an isolated story, where they were covering the Pentagon attack. And then all of the sudden it was almost time to go to school and all of the news channels were broadcasting it. My mother got up when she heard the news, but insisted I go to school. I don't blame her for doing so- many of the people she had worked with in her internship at her previous banking center frequented the World Trade Centers. Later, we learned some didn't make it. We continued on to my middle school, where during the ride we were listening to the news over the radio. I hopped out of the car soon after news came in that one of the towers had fell. It was very surreal and ironic- when I was younger and living in NYC I remember passing by both buildings. They seemingly spiraled endlessly into the sky at my early age. The irony is that after the first bombing my mother made it clear she wouldn't let me near them of her own volition during school trips. The schoolday was insanely long for the few hours I was there. You see, I couldn't take not knowing and basically said 'screw this' so I faked a stomachache. First time I'd ever done so in my life. It was believeable enough considering I used to and still suffer from debilitating cramps. On the ride home my parents told me the second tower fell and that the death toll was estimated in the thousands. The rest of the day and subsequent night was spent calling family to ensure that everyone was okay and watching the news as suspect's names were emerging and the news began to confidently confirm no accident was involved as suspected way beforehand.

Truly a sad day in American history.
