Sorry to hear that.

The hero did what he had to do in a freaking fantasy show, of course there's going to be some collateral damage (material in this case)... by the way, Clark Kent is not a terrorist. It seems some need an extra scene of him making sure nobody was around when the towers started to fall (last shot of the episode), because Clark Kent would let people die!
Think people think!![]()

Ppl 9/11 hapened like 9 years ago, LET IT GO!. It was very tragic, alot of loved one's died, it's a sad day & I remember it well but ppl have to stop being so obsessive about it, talking about it at every turn whenever you see a burning building on TV. If 9/11 happened in freakin Dubai or thailand, you wouldn't hear as much about it, if at all, but because it happened in America, it's all of a sudden the biggest thing that ever happened in the world. American's need to get over themselves & put it behind them & look forward, not back. looking back get's no one anywhere, it's just a painfull reminder. Smallville was not tryign to get across some message, nor were they being irresponsible by showing it, hell 20 bucks saus they didn't eventhink about 9/11 when designing the towers. ppl need to stop overthinking thing's & move on.

And?
You have entirely missed the point.
you sir, are a scholar and a gentleman![]()

You know, I didn't think THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE TWIN TOWERS OMG! When I saw that part of the episode...
So, that part didn't bother me at all.
*shrug*
What I did think was OMG! DID CLARK JUST DESTROY A BUILDING?
It never occurred to me to think that there were any lives at risk because Clark wouldn't do that, but the destruction of something like that is actually very Superman-like.
In the comics, wouldn't he have destroyed it without really thinking about it?
Agreed, but some see CK as a wannabe terrorist and the producers as evil for doing that scene...![]()
Trust me, you're wrong.Just a guess here but most who view Clark to be a terrorist because of that scene also believe Chloe is going to become Lois.
That is where you lose me. The 9-11 connection didn't strike me (though now I can understand the opposition), but the real Superman would've absolutely been thinking about to go about doing this safely. Did Clark really think raining down fiery debris in an uncontrolled, unscheduled, unanounced demolition was the best option available to him?!You know, I didn't think THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE TWIN TOWERS OMG! This is a city where human civilization once collapsed in the space of a few hours because Brainiac shut off the electricity!

Now Clark has just committed what could easily be construed as an act of terrorism, and he's getting another free pass.
yet another reminder why I'm not watching this show anymore; this "superman" isn't even remotely up to standard
To play Devil's advocate for Clark, not destroying the towers = Zod's army conquering earth and Clark powerless to stop it.
