World 90's X-men Animated Series finally being released on DVD!

I know it sounds crazy at first because everyone and thier brother say BTAS gets top spot.

The reason I put X-Men ahead of it is many reasons you said. It was well rounded and dealt with some pretty heavy issues for a sat morning kids show. I t had some funny moments and some pretty dark ones too. The episode "Beauty and the Beast" is a fantastic example of just why this show deserves the top spot.

I'd rate BTAS as 2 and Spider-Man...well its on the list, no fault of it's own it was just a victim of the PC torchburning craze of the 90's on.

Phew! Just got volume 2 at Wal-Mart about an hour ago.
Practically had to beg for it. (Okay, that's exaggerating, but it was a bit hard
to talk my dad into getting. Also found this great Marvel tee, but I put it back
since the dvd cost way more. Almost got them both because he
was actually gonna let me, but I felt bad-I live in
a family of five and appearantly money is now getting tight-so I decided to put the tee back.)

When I popped it in and watched A Rogue's Tale just now I realized it was totally worth the money and I will for sure pay my dad back when I have money again. The
episode made me realize once again how much I like Rogue after loving Gambit for so
long. I like them both, but sometimes I forget how cool Rogue really is. Now
I want an action figure of her or something. (A good one. The Marvel legends
one where she's in the Jim Lee style somehow came out ugly, but that's my opinion.
She looks old...I always thought she kinda looked like Carol Channing. Eww. Rogue
should never look like Carol Channing.)

^_^
Anyway, I love this show!

ewww. im glad i dont have to get that cover! i get so bitter whenever i see stupid wolvie!

mini wolfsbane - A Rogue's Tale is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series

how much was it at walmart?

I'd forgotten how great Rogue was in the cartoon. She kicks more arse than anyone. I love in 'The Phoenix Saga' when she punches out Gladiator. :woot:

I love this show and can't wait for the rest. :yay:

she had the best lines, the best sass

i dont remember it exactly word for word but my favorite line of hers was 'sugah you look more nervous than a long tailed cat in a room full of rockin' chairs'

is this on blu ray too? i'm trying to catch up on the thread so don't kill me if i missed that

You got it correct and that is one of my fav lines also.

19.98? Something like that. I definitley remember it was 19 something.
It's actually not THAT much considering that you get 2 disks and a load of episodes.

...I never did explain to my dad the why's and wherefor's of it. I don't think he even know's how old it is!

Edit:
I know how you feel about Rogue, Comic chick. She was my fave
character in X-Men:Evo, and when I found TAS I liked her even more.

Like when she's flash-backing to her time with the Brotherhood
and she looks all flirty to that pilot and she says "I'm lost. Can ya
help me?"

I was like 'Dude! I wanna be like THAT!'
Coincidentally, I'm proud to say I'm built kinda like her.
(Except much shorter and a bit chubby). I'd love to cosplay as her
eventhough I don't do cosplay. Just think it'd be fun.

I think-eventhough she's fictional-she makes a friggin' awesome role model for any girl. She's just such an in-your-face, confident character!

...*cough* I go off on these random raves sometimes. Don't mind me.

It's a shame the comics have been ruining her lately. Of course, I haven't picked one up in a long while, so maybe that's not true anymore.

i haven't had a chance (or the money) to pick up any comics in a while either so i don't know how they're writing her these days.

but if you're as big of a rogue fan as i am,man, could i point you in the direction of some good fanfics. there are a couple i've found better than what's being written at marvel imo

finally got the series on lay-by

a couple of questions

how good is the picture/sound quality on the dvd's

I've watched through both dvds, (watch certain episodes a couple times over), now im sad, cause i need my Vol. 3 and 4 fix, not to mention waiting for SpideyTAS to come out too!

^^ Speaking of Spidey TAS, I REALLY REALLY hope that comes on DVD soon. It's overdue.

Also, I wonder when we'll get official word on Vlume 3 & 4 of X-Men: TAS? I'm thinking some time this summer.

hopefully with volumes 1 and 2 doing so well, i hope they add some special content to Vol. 3 & 4

I don't see Disney doing that unfortunately. Honestly we should be happy if Disney is nice enough to keep the chapter selection settings in with the little attention they put towards these:oldrazz:

Your not alone in wanting some cool extras but based on the lack of extras in Volume 1 & 2 I just dont see Disney bothering to work on extras when there to busy working on Hanna Montana 2: The Search For Spok

Anyone ever watch the x-men files on youtube? so freaking funny lol

lol this show had soo many awesome one-liners

i love this in the juggernaut episode

*logan and jubilee are following juggs, logan slices the money bags*
Logan: My hand is quicker than his eye
*jubilee runs back to bank with money, logan flips over juggs,*
Logan: *wagging finger* heh, It's like they say a fool and his money are soon departed

My favourite line is:
"You always liked pushin' around people smaller than you. Well I'm smaller. Try pushin' me."

i like that one and

"I GO, " *pops claws* "WHERE I WANNNA GO"
