I should be getting the Dark Phoenix Saga on DVD this week. Its released in the UK as X Men Season 3 volume 3. Season 3 volume 4 next month

why is it in the Uk, not only do we have to buy two seperate DVDs for each season, but even the artwork on them completely blows compared to the american release?

The US covers look better but the UK covers look more Jim Lee-like and have the tone of the series itself. What is annoying me is that Wolverine has been the focus of most of them and has appeared on all of them. The last 2 DVDs didn't have any X Men besides wolverine on the front. Luckily the next one is a storm cover.

Picked up Vol. 3 & 4.

My only problem with these sets, is that they set the episodes in the order of they aired, not scripted, which would of been better.

However, does anyone have the order these should be WATCHED in? I hear that they are out of order...does anyone know of a list of the order they were produced and should be watched in?

I'm guessing that, just like they did with X-Men, Disney will release the 90s Iron Man series on DVD around the time Iron Man II comes to theatres. Hopefully.

The artwork is superb, but it's funny that Nightcrawler is featured so prominently on two of the covers when he wasn't even a regular member of the cast.

I wonder if/when they'll release the final volume, anyone hear any news? Considering how Disney seems to hardly ever release a complete series to any of their shows I'm getting a little worried.

Did you guys read the 90s movie script? That would have been awesome , especially if done in the 90s. It resembled the dynamics of the TAS and they had similar personalities.


The Xmen movies we have now are GREAT GREAT movies, for non-Xmen fans. They are like typical summer blockbusters. It would be hard to satisfy everybody, but the 90s script did look pretty cool and I believe if it came out it could have owned house for everyone. I think Marvel was too ahead of themselves and didnt want to settle for that script during the 90s when Xmen was so popular. I think toward the 2000s they wanted to boost it up again, which did work.


I love how everyone on this show has their own personality. It is very well written too. People forget this was made for very little kids AND teens. Which is why you'll get some of the cheese here and there.

Also anyone who draws, pay attention to the animation. Most people who dont often draw, pay attention to the mistakes of animation and say "Haha another error, gotta love the 90s." Not gunna lie, there are tons of errors and mistakes. But for every mistake, there is about 20 things they animated that are seemless and it doesnt get noticed. They put a lot of work into this show.
