911 - Angela Bassett and Ryan Murphy Re-Team on FOX

I'll never go in a bouncy house again. :p

This show reminds me of Emergency!

and yes that showing my age :p

Hey, I wantched that, too. :p One of my favorites.

Finale tonight.

is this any good or simply just nice to see Angela Bassett for 1 hr every week?

It's good but random as hell. And at times it is completely absurd in the 911 calls they get. Graphic at times too. The latest episode I have caught up on was "Karma" and that was a very accurate description of what was going on.

Missed the motorcycle accident, now that was graphic

The only thing I've really found questionable is the suggestion that someone could get rebar through the brain and somehow not only survive, but also be back to work like a month later.

It has actually happened although I think the month part is an exaggeration. In reality I think it took at least several months.

Go back to work at all really. :(

9-1-1: Jennifer Love Hewitt Joins Season 2 Cast Following Connie Britton's Exit

9-1-1 has resolved its casting emergency.

In the wake of Connie Britton’s exit, Fox’s hit procedural has tapped Jennifer Love Hewitt to join the Season 2 cast as a series regular. Hewitt — whose last major TV gig, a one-season run on CBS’ Criminal Minds, ended in 2015 — will play Maddie, a new 911 call-center operator (filling the void left by Britton’s Abby Clark) who also happens to be the sister of Oliver Stark’s Buck.

I know Ryan mentioned expanding the roles at the call center. I was kind of wondering how they'd integrate another character with that role into the main cast without just having Buck move on and try to bang another dispatcher. I guess this answers that question.

I quit the show but wasn't he supposed to be a sex addict? Addiction tends to break socially normative behavior

He is although he temporarily broke with it when he got somewhat serious with Abby but I suspect it will return.

Regular timeslot premiere tonight.

Looks like they spent some $$$ on tonight episode

It's still a bit smarmy or fluffy. I will say it's better so far than last season, mainly because Connie Britton really needed to go.

Me, watching Buck and the new guy for the past few weeks: "Hmm. Getting a bit of a gay vibe."

Me, watching a side character think the two have a son together, only for Buck to smile and not bother correcting her:

New season tonight
