A bit of hope for Rogue fans...

Whats sad is that Kitty has more action scenes than Rogue does.

Yeah no kidding. That's so messed up. Having a girl that was a cameo in the previous two and now fighting in the last one.

I hope this is true. I want Rogue not to take the cure so that she can be a love interest for Gambit in X4. But I will sadly understand the reasons why she would take it.

About those different endings - if it's true, then who is to decide which end would make it to the world wide release?
And concerning the dubbing, would they have sent all three endings to the studios?
Actually I don't think so. :(

im so pissed at Rogue's role...
Rogue and Cyclops should and DESERVE their own spinoff just for all the harsh they got in this trilogy :p

Don't get your hopes up. Ratner at the press conference in Cannes confirmed that Rogue and Magneto are cured. I don't like that either but keep telling yourself that she won't be cured and you'll be disappointed when you get to see the movie.

If Magneto is cured, then it's not true, that his chess tower (or whatever) does move at the end of the movie?

That probably is true, but that doesn't mean he wasn't cured. He's just trying to re-gain his pwers. And from what I've read it was Ian's idea to include that scene so tht he could return if they make another sequel.

In the version I saw today Rogue gets the cure, Magneto unwillingly gets a multiple dose of the cure but he's still able to move a chess piece.

What's that "cure" worth, if it doesn't change the mutation back to "normal average" and just reduces the ability that comes with the mutation to almost zero?

I don't think that was the idea behind the cure when they wrote it. But Ian requested that they include a scene where he's shown to still have some powers and they couldn't say no to him I guess. I'm sure they don't even have an explanation for that scene. They'll probably think of an explanation when the next sequel comes out, if there is a new sequel of course.

I agree.

So while Rogue isn't involved in a lot of the action -- although she was in the Danger Room scene, which Paquin described as "awesome" -- her character is a big part of the film.
"How big or small or important or not my character per se is to the story is something that never really registers with me," Paquin said. I was just happy that I got some interesting scenes to do and had an emotional job at hand that was going to be someone challenging because there isn¹t always a lot of that in these kinds of movies.

"So I just felt really lucky that, once again, the writers hooked me up with some interesting stuff to do. I just thought it was a really interesting concept for the movie for what happens next.

Does Rogue actually take the cure? No spoilers here, but a scene at the end of the movie was shot with both "yes" and "no" scenarios.

This gave me some hope...

She just repeated herself ^ that means she's pissed, lol. j/k

I don't think Magneto's scene is supposd to imply the weakness of the serum, but rather, the strength of Magneto's resolve. Whether it plays that way, we'll soon find out, but I'd bet the farm that's why Ian though that scene could work.

The one I saw had her taking the cure...and every last horrible thing people speculated as being the bad to have happen in the movie basically happened here. I'm sorry, Rogue fans...but if we Cyclops fans are left out in the cold, so are you...:p

Does it matter? It still doesn't change her role in this film, which sounds like it's minimal. She still wont be in the final battle and the extent of her powers on screen will still be the Danger Room scene.
I guess it would be better if at the end Bobby starts to show a reaction from her touch  ... at this point I don't have the capacity to hold out hope anymore.

I guess it's the Rogue fans parallel to Cyke being the secret scene...

Well the least they could've done was give Rogue and Cyclops more screentime and have their fates turn out the same! But instead they kill Cyclops in the first 15 min and give Rogue 10 min screentime and to add insult to injury they have her take the cure!

In X2 they built up Jeans character to the extent that when she died the audience felt sad b/c her character was so likeable and it made her death more tragic! The same should've been done with Cyclops and Rogue! Cyclops should've been given more memorable scenes (even if it's short) to make the audience more familiar with his character and that way his death is more tragic and necessary! Most people who've seen the film said his death is never fully explained and seems unnecessary b/c most of the other characters seem unaffected by it!

Rogue should've been in more of the film and in the final battle! What they could've done was have Rogue kill someone by accident in the final battle with her powers(something we haven't seen her do before) and for Rogue this would be her breaking point where she realises that she doesn't want her powers anymore and she steals one of those dart guns with the cure the guards at Alcatraz have! We don't see her use it but at the end we see her kiss Bobby without hurting him which tells us she took the cure!

Unfortunately Ratner decided to make her story easily forgettable and at the end of the day I don't think much of the general audience would really be affected by her taking the cure like they did when Jean died the first time!

rogue shouldn't take the cure...she has too many fans, same with cyclops.i wanted to see wolverine get cured lol. unless he actually rejects the cure or smth like that lol.

Well if you guys think this is supposed to put the x-world in a real environment it would only be logical for her to take the cure. You guys realise what it would be like to live your whole life without ever having any human contact. It would be horrendous.

If she is cured, will she even be in the next movie since she is no longer a mutant?

Here's how the movie ends:
Rogue actually does take the cure (in one of last scenes of the movie, she touches Iceman and nothing happens), but as we may see later with Magneto, the cure probably won't be permanent

I saw it just yesterday (press screening for Czech republic), so you can trust me.
