Sorry, but we have to worry about protecting ourselves - it doesn't matter what Mexico thinks truthfully. If the Mexican government would actually try to stop illegal immigration into the US - instead of aiding it - maybe such drastic measures would not be necessary.

Do they really aid it? I think they don't do anything about it but that's different from aiding it. And has there been any evidence of terrorists coming in from Mexico? I know there's drug trafficking but that doesn't seen big enough be a true national security threat.

Yes, about a year ago (if memory serves) the Mexican government gave out pamplets talking about how to cross over the border safely. The Mexican government refuses to do anything to stop the problem - which is aiding it by inaction.

I do not believe that terrorists have been detained crossing the border, but there are evidence of islmic people crossing over the border (prayer rugs, Corans, etc.) I am not anti-islam, but common sense tells me this is not a good thing. To have people we know nothing about crossing the border freely is simply not a good thing.

I find it extremely amusing that we have an illegal contingent who thinks they're exempt from immigration law JUST because they happen to be Hispanic [people who dislike paying medical/education expenses for every Mexican brat that can scurry across the border are "racists," y'know. Never mind the fact we can barely pay for our own educational system.] Sounds like reverse-racism to me. This is America, we all obey the law equally. No free passes for Hispanics.

Exactly. I see no reason why these jobs could not be filled by people here now - if the employers were paying more than $5.50 [or whatever] an hour.

They like illegals because they have to pay no benefits on 'em, and they're forced to keep their mouths shut on safety issues for fear of deportation - an employer's dream employee, in fact. That's exploitation, so we should be nailing these exploiting companies to that aforementioned wall as well. Exploitation isn't a positive concept.

The wages will certainly have to be increased. Businesses will throw a fit. But this is actually something I do agree with. It's not like illegal immigrants are treated well in many of the jobs they have. But if the government does decide to deport en masse, which I don't think they would because that would be stupid, our economy could take quite a hit.

I said I agree with this aspect of the issue. But still, the jobs they have here are better than they can get in Mexico or they wouldn't be coming here. But that's Mexico's fault.

and I wish things were easier than you posters against imigration seem to be... you ignore a lot of factors.. you have to admit it, without Illegal immigrants, America cannot stay as good(not so bad in this current state) as it is..

and by the way.. Mexico do not gives pamplets to travel to the US safetly, those are pamplets to survive in the desert. You know why Europe has less teen pregancy than the States? Because they give condoms instead of saying "don't have sex".

They give them things to survive if they go to the desert. Mexico does not want to see people die. Either way, most of the people that make it to the desert are cought by the border patrool.
