Why do you keep mentioning this assimilate bull****? We already went over this in another thread. They didn't assimilate. They may have over time... but it was many years and some have still not fully assimilated. Generalizing all Mexicans and saying all of them are not trying to learn english and make an effort to assimilate is dubious. A teacher of mine is part German and his mother came over from Germany as the Nazi's took power. She still could not fully speak english before her death about 10 years ago. It takes time for people to be fully assimilated into a different country and culture. The children of the pioneers that come to the U.S. are the ones who will assimilate better. The younger you are... the better chance of them embracing the culture and learning the language better.

unlike you, I have entered Mexico by plan, and the Us, and have ahd friends travel to Canada, I know the Procedures of the Border Patrol on both sides.
