EXPANDED/ALTERED DIALOGUE:

When Jean is in the infirmary:
Xavier explains the mental blocks, then...
WOLVERINE: But what broke these blocks? How has she become dangerous, unstable?
STORM: Cyclops said she hadn't been the same since she was exposed to radiation from Magneto's machine at Liberty Island
XAVIER: That might have fully reactivated her mutation again, switching on the part of her I've been keeping suppressed, so that it started to break through the blocks. The Phoenix saved her, and now she's back. Like some kind of rebirth
STORM: Just like the Phoenix of myth.
XAVIER: And the Phoenix always wanted to be, that must be why that part of her personality chose that name, it knew it would one day be free
STORM: Then you knew ALL this?
XAVIER: I didn't know exactly what was going on. Jean and I have been working together for many years on giving her more more freedom with her powers, one step at a time. I felt Jean's presence after we thought she died - the impressions i got were jumbled, distant, like someone sleeping, dreaming, but the Phoenix hid itself well from me, it's incredibly powerful

When the cure is announced:
STORM: We're not a disease. etc
ROGUE; Is it true?
STORM: We don't know for sure Rogue. Look, I know it hasn't been easy for you, but don't get your hopes up yet. We don't know anything about this so-called cure. We don't know if it will work, what effects it might really have.
STORM (addressing everyone): We've fought so hard for our acceptance, not just to be at ease with ourselves but for society to allow us to exist. Surely they can't just do this, make us feel like we are an illness that has to be cured?
BEAST: You're right Ororo but it's not the same for all of us. I remember the days before I was like this (gestures at himself); life was much easier then.
STORM (to Rogue): There's nothing WRONG with you, nothing wrong with any of us for that matter. Give it some time and let's find out more before you go rushing in.

When Wolverine returns from the mutant army encampment and says he know where they are going.
Next scene - the X-Men hold a briefing
WOLVERINE: Magneto and his army are going to Alcatraz to destroy the source of the cure - the mutant boy they call Leech
STORM: And Jean is going with them?
BEAST: Almost certainly she will. Now that Charles and Scott are gone she will be looking for anyone who accepts her, she must believe she is as dangerous as Magneto and his brotherhood.
STORM: Jean's been my friend, at times she's been like a sister to me. WE need to be the ones who are willing to help, not Magneto. We must try to reach her, see if there's anything left of the Jean we once knew.
WOLVERINE; Part of her wants to be with us, part of us thinks she no longer can. We need to reach her - or stop her.
BEAST: You've seen what she can do. I'm not sure any of us can stop her.
WOLVERINE; But it's worth a shot, and we need to stop Jean and Magneto or mutants will be something they really DO want to cure.
STORM; Let's go. Suit up, I'll get the others
ANGEL (turns up as they approach the X-jet): If you are going to Alcatraz, i have to come. They are going to kill everyone there, including my father.
STORM: Okay, then come, but we need to go now...

I'm not sure why your endless eye-rolling, I'd go to the optometrist if i were you.

I was working with the scenes and dialogue of the movie we got, not rewriting the movie structure.

I believe some added dialogue would have made the movie better.

But you loved it remember? It's perfect. Nothing is wrong with it and we should shut up and move on, remember? :whatever: :whatever:

No, I don't remember. Because I never said it.

Yes, i loved it. But i never said it was perfect.

Your ability to invent what people like me have said to attempt to further your cause is disturbing. Imaginary and invented arguments do not add to your credibility.

Now if this was someone else we would have got a slap in the face.

I'm so glad you two are still b*tching at each other every time I decide to come back to the board.

Get over it.

?? I didn't know they argued before..oh well. I think people just wanna make the movie good somehow and I don't blame them.

Argued before? All they do is argue, but of course, there'd be no need to continue if LastSunrise didn't have to come into this thread and continue it. Piece of advice, LS: don't freaking go into threads that X-Maniac posts. You've just gotten yourself on my ignore list, but at least spare everyone else.

The big issue here is: LastSunrise, and ntcrawler too, hated the movie... they hate Fox/Rothman/Arad/Penn/Kinberg/Ratner.

They think that by bringing this forum down into a storm of negativity and flamebait hell, they will somehow transmit a message to those people above that the movie sucked and must be remade.

That is, of course, delusional. All it will do is lead to fighting on here, mods clamping down like crazy, posters being banned, and regular posters not coming here any more. But they relying on driving people away so that their negativity will dominate, in the mistaken belief it's like a Batsignal over Fox's office that 'X3 must be remade'.

So, for anyone who's tired of this, the answer is NOT to leave this forum but simply to start other discussions and continue to add your views. LastSunrise and ntcrawler want to drive people away so they can control this board with negative whining and bytching and make it look like the entire X-Men fanbase is outraged over X3. Don't let it happen.

They should remember that in any case of emotional loss (like their reaction to X3) there has to come a time of moving on after the anger. Not moving on leads to depression and other mental illness. It's time to let go.

Don't let them drag this forum down. It's because of them that many regular and well-liked posters no longer come here. I refuse to be driven off here, so i am determined to stay. Wild horses couldn't drag me off this forum - and that's why they are attacking me, because they know i will not be beaten into submission by their ridiculous ranting.

Peace, folks. Don't let the morons win.

Wow. You guys are fighting in almost all threads. I left the boards for a while (and I wasn't a big part the board to begin with) because of the fighting. Meh. I'll ignore.

I liked the little changes X-manic made. It really added more to the film.

My connection was down 2 days and I come back and this flaming s*** starts up again. I hate to break it to you guys, but I'm getting sick of having to leave this forum and come again. It shouldn't happen and I know some posters will agree. I had a great time here and I'm gonna say this right now. I am very unsatisfied with this forum and how it runs. There's more negatives than positives and I havn't seen any forum go up in flames such as this one.

Lets get a few things straight here. alright?

1) I am not a Fox loyalist.

2) I don't take everything that they throw at me.

3) I like X3, its not perfect but I don't love or hate it.

4) I see the flaws but face it, not all films are entirely perfect, not even the world itself. Its like...a sandwich and its got so many layers and indredients in between the two slices of bread and when it comes to you on a silver platter, it looks perfect. When you take it in your hands and your about to take a bite out of it, everything inside it starts to fall out onto the plate, thus its not exactly the perfect sandwich or so you thought in the beginning...

5) I understand the movie has flaws and I get what the people who hate it to death are saying about the flaws.

6) After seeing the movie a few times, I can still notice which areas needed more improvement and so on. Fox's problem is the script - the dialogue. They could have improved on it but they didn't. They did what Fox told them to do. They're "Yes" men but they could have worked more heavily on the dialogue and extra parts here and there.

anyway... I miss this place. :(

I get those sandwiches too, but mine don't come on a silver platter...

Even with all the normal ones, all the stuff falls out! Or the plastic carton is so well sealed that you use up more calories unwrapping it than you get from eating it. :word:

well no silver platter or plain plate...whatever. you get the idea...

I do indeed. How many albums do you own where you only like one or two tracks? And there's all those TV channels - hundreds - yet it's difficult to find one thing worth watching...

There's nothing wrong with perfection. But there is plenty wrong with wanting everything to be perfection.

Ha. that's the thing. Some people hate X3 because it wasn't perfect, well I could go an break X1 and X2 apart and name all the things that were wrong with them. It just seems like X3 was broken apart more because of a few mistakes. Just remember, there were mistakes in the previous X-men movies.

and the fact that I love the first two because of the way they pop out at you...like Jean ...yeah.

Yes, I hated the movie and I'm not afraid to admit it. And yes I hated Penn and Kinberg and Rothman. I didnot approve of Ratner's work, but I do not hate him. And I have not stated my opinion on Arad. You accused me of walking into a theatre with a pre-meditated agenda of hating the movie. You assumed wrong. I already explained to you my views and opinions before I went in to see the movie. You ASSUMED something based on no credible infermation. You should know the dangers of assuming something before you have all your facts.

They think that by bringing this forum down into a storm of negativity and flamebait hell, they will somehow transmit a message to those people above that the movie sucked and must be remade.

Wow. Aren't we a bit delusional here. Flamebait hell? I have not baited a single person since joining this forum, and the proof lies in every one of my posts. You cannot find a single example. Just because the views and arguments expressed by me aren't in agreement by you, does not make them a flame or bait for a war.

But they relying on driving people away so that their negativity will dominate, in the mistaken belief it's like a Batsignal over Fox's office that 'X3 must be remade'.
Hardly. I enjoy a lively discussion and debate and I vehemently support freedom of speech and exchange of ideas. I don't hold it against people for disagreeing with me, that's why it's possible to have so many different views present here and that's why I like this board more than the other X-men related ones.

So, for anyone who's tired of this, the answer is NOT to leave this forum but simply to start other discussions and continue to add your views.

There you go again, keep singling me out and making things up about my conspiracy to drive everyone away and shut down the boards. :whatever:

For your information, I have not posted a single negative or disrespectful remark about you or your rewrite ideas here in this thread. And here you are attacking me with false accusations. I expected more from you. Guess I was wrong.

You know what? Crappy movies just aren't worth fighting over. How about you all just bury the hatchet and put each other on your ignore lists?

Don't worry, it all got ugly for a while my dear! Lots of raucous yelling and hair-tossing, a bit like those 80s heavy metal bands with blond perms.

Christ.

Stop bashing people who didn't like the movie.

If they'd stop bashing me, then I would. I've been called a loyalist simply for liking it.

And your stepping into this, making further accusations, isn't helping.

So, keep your nose out.

As far as I'm concerned, X-Maniac and LastSunrise are doing exactly the same thing, and neither one of them is right. At least ntcrawler is respectful and intelligent in his debate, and the same goes for others who liked the movie. So I'm with Cyke; ya'll just ignore each other and let the rest of us get on with our lives, because I think you've derailed every single thread in this forum by this point with your stupid b*tching and complaining.

If anyone had bothered to see what I was being accused of, then you'd know why i was responding.

Please press ignore if you don't like it. I am NOT being driven off this forum by other posters blaming me for the movie, and that is final.
