Potency of a Cure

But that would make things too obvious :)

Hmmm, but an interesting idea. Raven looks into the mirror one day and sees a small patch of blue coming back to her skin...
I totally want Raven to become Mystique again. That is a good idea. I would have liked to see her sit down in front of Magneto playing chess after he moves the piece and her eyes turn yellow. Or some random person is watching Erik and their eyes turn yellow and they smile.

i'd luv and over powered rogue...
Well we saw Magneto's power increase over each film, same for Wolverine, Storm, and Jean. We are overdue for an overpowered Rogue indeed.

I just think saying the cure isn't permanent and everyone gets their powers back is cheap...but that is probably the way they will go.

I see what you mean . . . you're trying to give more credence to the story rather than simply having the cure be a mistake and undoing everything just like that.

Exactly...there were a lot of cheap things in X3. It certainly had its fair share. But every movie does that. SM2 I think has done a good job with recapping what happened in the previous movies with hints and the art at the opening credits. In X4, if they say "Oops, the cure doesn't work now." I will be mad.

I was thinking about this. Each of the three main characters who were cured (Mystique, Magneto, Rogue) has something about their powers that could prevent the cure being fully effective, or undo its effects.

And Rogue's normality will be a test for mutant tolerance at that school - let's see how accepting those kids are towards her.

I'd have much preferred her to NOT take the cure and for the suggested scene (which i had suggested on here, and the writers happen to mention it too) of having Rogue and Iceman kiss (as though she has been cured) and then show Leech hidden nearby (on the other side of a hedge in the garden, obliviously playing on his computer game.
