A little Batman help Please

it was made by alex ross (the one who did kingdom come) and kurt busiek, and it's about a photographer that takes pictures of superheros and villains since they first appeared (world war II) and it tells his story and how he and other people see major events, like galactus's first appearance, or namor invading new york, or the mutant riots, and so on, it's pretty interesdting, i recommend it, and the artwork is awesome

I said "maybe" do you not understand that? I personally had to mature more and realize how great of a character he is. I merely said that you maybe in the same position as I was, I never assumed that you were.

Heres Darthphere's write up on the book for the Official Recommendation thread.

Hush, Dark Knight Returns, Killing Joke.

Robin Year one is a pretty underrated book. Should be read following Dark Victory.

Bruce Wayne: Murderur/Fugitive is also a good read.

I have Dark Knight Returns. It was pretty badass.

Except the riding horses to save Gotham, I hate that part.

Man, you must have just gotten into Batman.

The greatest stories, in my opinion, are the stories told from his early days such as Year One, The Long Halloween, Batman and the Monster Men, The Man Who Laughed, Dark Victory, etc.

Actually no I have been in to batman for a long time but the guy said he already had planned to get most of those so I listed books he didn't have that I thought were good.

It was pretty lame, just like everything else about that story.

it's ok. But I feel it's been retconned over already. Personally, I like Batgirl Year One more.

I liked those stories, I just didn't find them to be that great (No Man's Land excluded, that was awesome, especially the ending)

Hey hippie...

Never read Monster Men... Maybe its because the title turned me off. How was it? I may look for it after I'm done reading Astro City. (missed a lot of comics... x.x)

I really liked it. Again, like I said, my favorite stories in the Batman mythos take place in Batman's early days before he became a paranoid dickwad with a clusterf**k of gadgets, villains, and sidekicks.

The trade comes out this month (23rd to be exact), I definetly recommend it. A sequel called Batman and the Mad Monk starts the same day.

Ahh ic. You might like Blind Justice by Sam Hamm (Detective 598-600) then.

I started collecting Detective during the Norm Breyfogle/Alan Grant era (post Death in the Family), I liked the straight-up Batman without the Bat-family then. (I loved the Mudpack storyline with all the Clayfaces) I do hope DC keeps their promise so that his interactions to the Bat-family a bit low. Hopefully they'll come up with some original ideas to storylines.

I like the Bat-family. I like Robin and Nightwing and Azrael and Batgirl and Oracle and Spoiler and Alfred and Lesile (pre-War Crimes). As a matter in fact I would like to see Batman interact with the Bat family more often. He's adopted both Dick and Tim and he should interact with them like a father should. I would like to see Batman treat Oracle like an equal collegue and not a telephone operator. I would like to see Batman treat Alfred like a surrogate father figure. I would like to see Batman interact with Cassandra Cain now that she is part of the League of Assassins.

But it is still cool to see Batman work solo every once and a while. That is why I like the stories set in the early days of Batman's career so much.

That was my favorite part.
I thought it was cheesy and borderline stupid. But, maybe that's just me.
