A Live Action Batman Beyond movie is it a good idea?

Efron does look like Terry though, you can't deny it. He's stepped his game up in the past few years acting wise though. Nothing but indies.

It would be a breath of fresh air. Considering all current superhero movies are set in modern time, a movie that is basically Batman on Coruscant would be epic I think.

I don't see Eastwood doing it period. As perfect as he would be for the role.

I don't see why not. For one thing he's an actor. If offered enough money, he'll probably do it. Especially if the story is really well written. For another, Clint has quite the sense of humour. He'd probably think playing Bruce Wayne would be a hoot.

It's not a good idea.

It's a great idea for fans who grew up on the cartoon and the DCUA. It's a very bad idea for a general audience that is much more in love with the groudned grittyness of Bruce Wayne than his limited real world gadgets. As cool as it would be to everyone here, I just don't see it taking off with the masses.

As I recall, Siskel & Ebert said something very similar about the very first Star Wars film back in '77.
